Star Trek Online

I played World of Warcraft for the first year it was out, but had to drop it because it was taking over my life, just like everyone said. Since then, I've been pretty much MMO-free. Sure, I've poked my head into Age of Conan, and I tried out Champions Online a little. But all that was recreational use--sightseeing. I'm just not ready to develop a full time habit again...But I've been really interested in this Star Trek Online. I've looked over people's shoulders while they played it and thought: 'Oh, I could see how this would be fun..."

What about you? What MMOs are you into, and how deep into them are you?

I played SW:Galaxies, but for me it didn't live up to what I thought it was going to be. Laid off for a while, then I got into WoW and played that for about 3-4 years and just recently canceled my subscription and replaced WoW for EVE Online. I've been playing EVE for about a year or so, but the only problem is that I don't have enough time to dedicate to it.

But, all things will stop when Old Republic comes out...crack thy name is Old Republic.

I started out with City of Heroes after one headache after another trying to get my computer compatible with the game. I just recently played the game after a year long hiatus and realized how dreadfully boring it really is. WoW is currently the only one that I'm focused on. I usually have a love-hate relationship with MMO's. I get into it for awhile then get bored with the game real quick. Because of this I only have one character that I created that is level capped. Leveling is such a monumental task and I tip my hat to those that actually have more than one character leveled out.

Long ago, Galaxies owned my life. Recently I've been playing Global Agenda (now that Beta is over the bugs are disappearing) as my "re-introduction" to MMOs. That being said, I await Old Republic and its glory...

Played WoW for about 3 years, I finally had a reality check and realized I was grinding 6 hours a day just to hopefully get .02% crit increase.... Once it's become that ridiculous I just sold my account for 500 bucks and basically got back my money for subscription fees over the years.

I was part of WoW's open beta, and just recently stopped playing. Not out of necessity, but just from lack of content. You can only run you lvl 80 characters through raids so many times before its time to take a break. I love the game the people at Blizzard did a really great job. I am sure that if I get my hands on the new coming expansion, I will have to jump back into the game again. But I am reluctant to try a new MMO only because of how WoW affected me when it first launched. Now being numb to its high I can put it down and pick it up when I please.

I'd start playing MMOs if they started making more of them for consoles. It's not like you can't hook up a keyboard to the PS3 or 360 if you need to.

If I had a better computer when WoW first came out, it would have been that because I loved the original RTS versions. Although, after seeing how it has transformed some of my friends, I don't think I'm going to play it. Right now, the only MMO I'm playing is MAG. Although, I think you where asking more about MMORPG's than you where just MMO's. So, none.

I don't play any MMO's currently, but I'm dying to get my hands on the DC one for the PS3 whenever that decides to come out.

I played Star wars Galaxies for 2 years, WoW for 1, DDO for 1, and have decided that I can't keep playing MMO's and have a real life. While I loved the ability to socialize and make friends online, I had to quit cold turkey.

I played City of Heroes for three years and then went exploring other MMO waters, but despite the plethora of products to try, the only games that held my interest for more than a couple of months were WoW and Eve Online...and those for only a couple of months more.

I was really looking forward to a Star Trek MMO, but I was so disappointed by Cryptic's other game, Champions Online, that now I am hesitant to stick my toe back into MMO waters at all.

I played WoW for about a week, got bored, and left. I'm not much for MMOs.

None. But if any will get me, it'll be The Old Republic. Bioware games are like crack anyway, so the whole "MMO's are like crack" argument is kinda a wash.
