In less than 24 hours Apple will unveil something in San Francisco. That something is widely expected to be a tablet, a device that Apple has been working on for years. Apple has confirmed it will be unveiling a new product at the event. Outside of that, however, we're in speculation territory. If you're unfamiliar with all the talk about Apple's rumored new device, I've rounded up the rumors for you.
Here's what we expect to see from Apple tomorrow:
The name is expected to be iSlate or iPad- A device with a 10-inch or 11-inch touch screen, like a large iPod Touch
- Focus on media-focused format for existing literature -- magazines, books, etc.
- Most existing iPhone/iPod Touch applications should work with the device
- There will be subsidized versions of the device (to provide data) to drive down the price
- Connections will be driven between both persistant 3G and Wi-Fi access
- The price will be somewhere between $500-1,000
- It will be running a modified version of the iPhone OS, not OS X
- There will be a virtual keyboard
- The touch screen will sport tactile feedback, an advancement over other touch screens
- Multi-touch will drive the new interface moreso than on iPhone
- There will be a camera, possibly two -- one on the front, one on the back
Did I miss anything? That's quite the list. I'll have to hide my wallet tomorrow...

whats so good about a over sized iPod touch? i don't think it will fly because one there's not a app for that and two their price will be ungodly too much because of a spelling error that puts a lower case i in front of everything.

Im so sick of all the apple itablet/islate talk. yes im excited for the event tomorrow, but is there any reason to make so many different things about the thing in one day? im sure anyone that is looking foward to it already knows all this anyways. please post more NEWS, instead of basically regurgitating stuff over and over again. there is no reason to make a post about what TheFeed readers have to say (sorry readers, no offense). I love this site and dont want to quit using it for my news because you all put so much humor and character into the posts. Im sure im gonna get alot of negative feedback on this but it was just something i felt the need to say.

That's one heck of a product, that's for sure. I think they are just gonna surprise their audience and with their earnings release, they really got things moving their way.
Is a testament to how well their products are selling well, they always seem to come through.
You know that baby is gonna sell very well, assuming it meets criteria and expectation. I bet is gonna be worth it for true Mac fans out there and to the general public in general.

I'm not sure if this is true, but I did hear a rumor from multiple sources that it will be able to run Microsoft word. Then again, I really have no idea what I'm talking about.

How many can one person buy without transporting to a higher plain of existence? If I crack the screen, will God cry? How long does it have to be on until it becomes sentient?
