Don't Have A Mass Effect Save? If You're On A PC, That's No Problem

Not everyone played through the original Mass Effect, which is why I spent my Friday afternoon putting together a brief story summary of the game. If you didn't play through Mass Effect, however, that means you don't have a save with personalized decisions for Mass Effect 2.

Luckily, there's an option that doesn't involve rushing through the game; a 30-year-old female Mass Effect fan named "Annakie" has compiled dozens of Mass Effect PC saves for users to download.

The saves are broken down meticulously, ranging from the romantic choices (both male and female) to the climactic, game-changing decisions placed on players at the end of Mass Effect.

Make sure to tell Annakie "thank you," gamers.

All the decisions you have made in mass effect 1 and 2 will greatly affect how your story will unfold in mass effect 3. So your decisions in Mass effect 1 may not seem like much in mass effect 2 they will undoubtedly affect mass effect 3 so keep that in mind.

Thank you so much, Annakie! I had an awesome character from Mass Effect though I got a new computer and lost the saves. Luckily, from your list, I found a few Shepard's that perfectly matched the one I played. Woo! I can enjoy the game to the fullest now!

Wow, thanks for the link! I'm a little in awe that my little site has gotten all this attention! :)

Meh_siah from what I have read, the DLCs don't affect ME2. I could be wrong, I haven't played ME2 yet. Getting my copy tomorrow! :)

Channelcy - I don't blame you! I'm trying to play a male Shep for the first time because I'd rather do my own saves, but someday I might want to play through a Female game with a chance to see a new romance (because I could never kill Kaidan myself :) ) and so I'm glad I'll have the chance to do that with someone else's character.

Okay, I have a question. I ended the game and saw i think 3 different endings. Wo, how does that effect my game's story arch?

I doubt it, the only choice i can really remember was whether those reserchers in Bringing Down the Sky lived or not. And whether that Batarian lived or died.

Does any one know if there are any choices made in any of ME1 DLC episodes that can potentially carry over to ME2?

Im surprised by how popular mass effect 2 has become compared to the first one which was quickly forgotten by most after a month of its release, but its nice she is giving players a chance to enjoy the sequel to its fullest.

wow.... thats alot of hours of gameplay..... if i was goin 2 play it on the pc then heck ya i would download... but just for the option if i do.... dout it ( 360 for me ) thanks...

That wasn't a very good summary tho. You didn't mention the Thorion, Rachni, what happens on Virmire, and maybe some other things.

Thats a great Idea actually, props to Annakie.

However, Im on the Xbox, so I had to go through another, quick, 8-hour play-through to get everything the way I wanted for ME2

Can't wait til tomorrow :D
