It isn’t known just yet what Gearbox Software’s next batch of Borderlands downloadable content will contain but what is known is that it will introduce something that is always appreciated in an RPG: a level cap increase.
Gearbox dropped the news over at their official forums, adding that the new DLC will be the “biggest we have made.” The team is working on a new update for the game as well. Neither the update nor the DLC have a release date at this point, but Gearbox says more info will be coming shortly.

This game online is bull crap now cause all people play with our modded weapons, that kill everything in seconds. If you play this game clean leave me a post with your XBL gamertag please. I have no friends that play this game.

I'm going to play Devil's Advocate here:
I recall that when Bethesda released Broken Steel and raised the level cap in Fallout 3, several commentators suggested that Bethesda "broke the game" by artificially increasing the level cap. I sort of understood their logic, and to an extent, agreed with them as it did make many enemies WAY too easy as I leveled up.
Any thoughts on if this will be an issue with Borderlands?

It would be great if each class could dual-wield one of their specialty weapon types, giving the ability to stack two damage effects types (like Brick holding explosive and corrosive rpgs at the same time). Also the ability to take our custom-levelled and equipped charachters into deathmatch/ctf/king of the hill type multiplayer might be worth exploring.

I love borderlands, and I don't think I realized why I liked it so much until I read Patrick's interview with Gearbox and they talked about how the art style made the game play work. Today, I was playing with one of my friends across the country and he was like "I think it's funny how they don't really explain how you teleport between areas," and I was like "They don't need to, it's just fun and that's what matters."
I also love how this is the first game where I've actually scheduled playing time with friends so we can sit down and play together. Also, this is the first RPG that I have played for an extended period of time. I actually get excited about leveling up for the first time in my life. Plus all the missions are fun and unique. A great game.
I will be getting this DLC, and I will preorder Borderlands 2 as soon as it is announced. Gun mods, more classes, and new vehicles would be great additions, but any expansion to the Pandora universe is highly anticipated by me.
The bottom line is that the more I play this game, the more I love it.

Personaly I thought Borderlands sucked. I haven't even touched ANY of the DLC. Boreing game that doesn't last for more than 10 minutes at a time.

maybe they will have more upgrades because i felt like i should have had more once i got to level fifty and i wouldn't mind a new vehicle, maybe a truck or something, but no matter what i'm buying this

Just as long as they go back to the same formula that made the original game and Zombie Island so fun and popular in the first place and NOT try to turn it into something it shouldn't be like they did with that Underdome crap, I'll be more than happy to fork over my points for it!

i am majorly pumped for this, i hope though that with the cap increase you get more upgrades to choose from so all the characters arent the same
and if they do add new weapons id like to see better eridian weapons, i really want to use them but they all suck soo bad
no matter what they do ill buy it day one and love it. gearbox has my full support now, looking forward to mroe borderlands stuff and any other games they might develop
now im off to continue playing dragon age :P

I hope that the Update will fix the glitches in the Moxxi's Underdome DLC, which have been a bit unnerving losing items and other small problems. It is great that Gearbox is willing to put out some more DLC I do enjoy this game little bugs and all. No comment on the ending.

This is great news. I just bought Borberlands two weeks ago n i find it hard to stop playing. I loved Zombie Island and downloading moxxi's right now. "Biggest dlc"? I'd like to see a new character class, Demolisionist. That might be too similar to Berzerker. oh well. Playing this, reminded me of another great shooter from the 2009 q1. Red Faction. Possibaly Borderlands2 could add the GeoMod 2.0 tech from RF:G and bring on a new class that Blows the snot outta everything.

i like borderlands as much as everyone but i still have no idea why g4 had awarded it the most original game for last year. it wasn't compared to what contenders it had. i wonder with the new dlc..will there be doom like type of guns

Great news for a great game, Borderlands 2 ? new characters would be great, do what they did with L4D2 compared to L4D.
This is all I've been playing lately, leveling all four characters is fun and I've never played an RPG and still doubt I'ld play any other.
