Rare’s updated, Xbox Live Arcade reissue of its N64 hit Perfect Dark has been a long time coming, and sometime in the next month or so, the game will finally be released. But what then? Well, according to Rare, anything is possible at this point.
As Rare studio head Mark Betterridge explained to CVG, "There’s nothing to announce yet after Perfect Dark, but we’ve got over 25 years of IP to dip into so there’s no shortage of possibilities.”
While this most likely means more XBLA ports of classic Rare games, I’m pulling for a next-gen Killer Instinct and/or Conker game just because I like being difficult.
What other Rare games would you like to see remade and released on XBLA?

I am excited about this announcement Rare has done quality work in the past. I believe that Perfect Dark was their best work. I would love to see Donkey Kong Country and Jet Force Gemini on Xbox live Arcade.

Donkey Kong Country HD, oh man that and Perfect Dark HD are the ones I really want. Rare was king back then and so it'd be a no brainer to bring back their stellar games. Heck a whole new audience might discover the games that way as well.

In a perfect world I'd love to see some Donkey Kong Country, the 1st two where my childhood man. I Ioved the mood, the characters, & the gameplay. I know it won't happen. But when I think of Rare I think of Donkey Kong Country and Killer Instinct. Killer Instinct in any form revisited would be fantastic. If their gonna make it they better do it now while fighting games are cool again. I wish I still had my soundtrack that came with the game, I toted that thing around all the time in middle school.

If Rare could port Banjo-Kazooie or Diddy Kong Racing with extra content and perhaps updates models and textures but kept the gameplay mechanics the same, they would sell millions.

Rare made some good kart racing games back in the day, like Diddy Kong Racing, etc. That's one area where the 360 is clearly lacking.
Killer I. 3 would be the ideal. Sequels to Kameo, Banjo (as a platformer) as well.

i can't wait for this to come out. I played this more than Goldeneye and, personally, think it was better with better weapons and multiplayer. They should definately do a remake of Jet Force Gemini.

but really. Can some Rare IPs be remade with a positive outcome? Lets not for get Perfect Dark Zero. I would love new Jet Force Gemini, Killer Instinct, or Battle Toads. Conkers Bad Fur Day did came out good but I would hate for Rare to mess up any of my favorite game memories. It has been almost 15 years sense most of those classic Rare title came out and who knows who is left of the original guys at the studio.
but.. G D I want new Conkers, Killer Instinct, Battle Toads, and Jet Force Gemini. Not to mention the other games I am possible forgetting.

all of you are dreaming donkey kong wont become a new rare game because they're owned by Microsoft now and DK is property of Nintendo, Im not Sure about Battletoads but id love to see a remake of that. Conker would be interesting, I loved that game but it would have to be made with care I dont want rare to do to conker what they did to Banjo-KazooieI heard rumors of Rare working on a game for Natal but now that I read this im skeptical.

I have to agree that Jet Force Gemini would be awesome, the game had it's problems, but I still have fond memories of playing that game in my youth. Although it had a sorry excuse for co-op, "Oh great I get to help my friend beat this level....wait...I'm some sort of weird flying robot thing? with only one weapon and no abilities? ughhhhhhh"
I think the one thing that sticks out in my head is how much I loved the racing in that game. I haven't played the game since middleschool though, so I bet it doesn't hold up in reality as well as it does in my hazy drug-addled memories.
