Shadow of the Colossus and Okami are the real reason why video games should be thought of as art.

I believe star wars battlefront 2 was one of the best games ever made. It was so amazing and still is played to this day and continues to show how we need star wars battlefront 3

I'm surprised Mass Effect wasn't on there. That game was completely innovative as far as game play and the fact how everything you do carries over into the sequel. It's scary how many hours I had invested in Mass Effect.

I like L4D, L4D2, KOTOR, KOTOR II, Fallout 3, Halo series, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, GTA series, The Warriors, NFL 2K5, Mass Effect, JadeEmpire, The Orange Box, Prince of Persia series, Star Wars Battlefront series, Mafia, Def Jam: FFNY, and many more.

I would like even more games had I owned a PS2 or a Gamecube. The game that I feel satisfied me as a gamer the most was The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, but most of my friends couldn't even play the game and got lost in the woods!.....idiots. Use your freakin' map and remember what the NPC's tell you. Once you get into the game there's just so much to do nearly endless gameplay. Much Much better than fighting in the same Oblivion gates in Oblivion and riding a horse around a less detailed world than Morrowind. Another game I consider a masterpiece was KOTOR nuff said. The Warriors surprised me cause it was based off of a movie and movie games had always sucked and still do most of them, but this game had all the elements of a great game. I still say that if someone would make another Warriors game, yet this time make it much much bigger, more freedom, more RPG elements, and better graphics kinda like a gang fighting MMO I would play that game more than I do COD: MW2!

L4D rocks never thought I could stand to play a game over and over again repetitive......yes. Addictive most certainly, fun always!

Okay list is pretty good I must admit.... just missing one thing..........

    GEARS OF WAR!

Not only did the game raise the bar on what graphics should be in next gen games, but it also defined what 3rd person shooter NEEDS to be. Sure it borrowed ideas from other fantastic titles such as RE4, but some notice needs to be given. I mean that game for me along with other DEFINED what this current generations knows as shooters. From the flawless cover system, to the on the fly co op thats allowed players to join friends allready in progress without skipping a beat.

12 million copies sold between GOW 1&2, not to mention it was the game that knocked Halo 2 out of the #1 spot on xbox live. C'mon Adam.... you know its true.

There have been so many great games there are too many to make a list out of, I mean just in 2009 we have had Borderlands, Halo 3 ODST, Infamous, Modern Warfare 2 amoung others, and this year we have gotten 3 pretty good games in Bayonetta, Darksiders and Army of 2: The 40th day, so stop complaing and make your own list

I totally agree with sistokid, these lists are somewhat pointless, this is what Xplay thinks, not what you think if you dont like it make your own friginn list.
