The week wouldn't be complete without another episode of Feedback, right? Don't worry, readers, we're happy to oblige. Adam Sessler, Abbie Heppe, newcomer Jake Gaskill and myself headed into the studio to discuss the week's events, debate how much Electronic Arts has managed to improve its bromance co-op series Army of Two with the sequel, Army of Two: The 40th Day, and more.
In this week's Feedback...
- I return from CES 2010 with news about the future of 3D in video games: it's overrated.
- We reflect on the avalanche of game announcements and delays we've seen in the past two weeks, including Ubisoft's potentially controversial new Assassin's Creed...with multiplayer?
- There's not much confidence that The Legend of Zelda for Wii is shipping in 2010, but that might be offset by Nintendo's decision to deliver Metroid: Other M before the year is up.
- Irrational Games becomes 2K Boston becomes Irrational Games. The world is right again.
- Find out if Army of Two: 40th Day is worth checking out, especially if you're going solo.
- A reader asks a particularly juicy question about the validity of Hollywood film directors (like, say, James Cameron) becoming involved in video games and whether there's merit to it.
Feedback, talking trash about the products shown at CES since video games decided to leave.

OK were to start. first you have to love abbey. how can i use this helicopter thing on my i Phone? to get beer. and she's cute and funny.
the craze over multilayer has finally crossed the line. i don't think this can be done nor should it. stop looking at trends game developers and just make a good game for crying out loud. multiplayer doesn't make a game and nether dose morality. ( the 40th day still sounds awesome i want to play it really bad. being broke sucks.)
of course Nintendo is starting to delay games on there ultimate mash up.
3-D TV suck maybe they can use the technology for some games but I'm doubtful. possibly a horror game and have throwing axes coming out at you in the game?
Adams soup box is on earlier in the week as well as Feedback. i don't have to wait as long for the next episode . BOO YA!!!!

We have seen many games improve with sequels such as Army of Two and Uncharted. With Fallout:New Vegas do you belive that they will be able to make a better experience and learn from the mistakes of Fallout 3 because while I'ts still one of my favorite games I still would've gave it a 4 out of 5 because the NPCs looked like crap and and the game suffered from many bugs that almost ruin the game

i see many games going toward multiplayer and the truth is there are many games that a good multiplayerb(not just spit out there) would improve the game itself and the replay value. (personally)i would love to play mass effect on multiplayer or co-op and bioshock that is on the way(hoping multiplayer is just as great as the single player. but i also like games that are just u against the world meaning single player. how do you see this changing many single player games?

BONERJAM FTW.

I just don't get the resistance to 3D... let me explain.
In development they can make a game thats playable in 3D or 2D without loosing anything in gameplay, just how it looks.
Just like, if someone doesn't have a HD tv they can just play it in SD tv without loosing core gameplay.
I'd be MUCH more worried about the 360 & PS3 jumping into motion control.
If the controls don't work or the way their implemented into gameplay is flawed then the game is done... Nobody will play it.

Feedback earlier in the week, what sane person person would have a problem with that?

Do you think as time continues to progress in the video game industry will narrative and plot/story in games progress too? Is there a point where there's to much story and not enuff control, and where's the line between game and interactive movie, and video game. Like is heavy rain going to give the player enuff control to immerse themselves into the experience or will it make you feel like your doing task after task for the sake of beating the game? Also do you think sony is going to kill heavy rain before it gets a chance do to poor advertising, almost all of my friends have never even heard of it despite the fact they are gamers.

Just wanted to say the Idea of a Lego MMO already has kind of been done by some online independent game makers, like Block Land for example. It pretty much has a host of server list like a FPS would have, but each server is like an open void where the players join together to make villages and, ... well what ever they can think of constructing.
Just throwing that out there.
