You've waited a long time to play Splinter Cell: Conviction, so you might as well remain patient a little longer, right? In Ubisoft's third-quarter financial results, the publisher revealed Splinter Cell: Conviction has been delayed from the end of February into sometime in April.
Additionally, Ubisoft's pushed back the release date of their new real-time-strategy game R.U.S.E. The company has not announced an updated release date for R.U.S.E., however.
As much as I've been anticipating Splinter Cell: Conviction, I'm also relishing the chance to have a little more time to catch up on the other big games that are releasing before it.

I hope they fix the PC version so I can change the controls. I've played all since the first on the PC with the same controls then they screwed the PC crowd by locking the controls then denying a patch to fix it. I will make sure I read up on this before I spend any cash on it. They already have 50 bucks for a game I didn't even play 15 minutes.

Yippee to all of you celebrating the delay, and I realize it is ludicrous to bemoan anything given the situation in Haiti, but I am despondent and galled by yet another delay of this game. Putting off the game for more development is valid. Putting off a game to bolster your sales next quarter is ridiculous. Is Ubisoft going to keep delaying a game many people have been wanting because of other games' release dates or fiscal earnings forever? Will there ever be that perfect, sweet-spot of a time where the stars will align and allow them to give us what we've been wanting for years? Release the game, or at least give me a demo or something. Throw those of us who give a damn a bone. If the game really comes out in April, I will be stunned. I better go see what's coming out in April. If there's any competition, I'm sure Ubisoft will see their way fit to delaying until the Twelfth of Never.

This is a joke right I have had my pre-order at game stop paid of since they started taking them

this is simply ubi saying"wow look at ALL this competition, lets push back AGAIN to april 20 so we'll be th last major title of the 1st 1\4".plus it'll give the regular folk the chance to get their middle of the month check.PERFECT.i am ok with having the money now to get dante's,my problem is ALL of these company's know what is coming out & when, hell i even knew about several of the games slated to come out last year were going to come out 1st 1\4 this year so they obviously did.also i realize that making money is the name of the game & more specifically with this game that ubi not only wants all of the die hard SC fans to buy the game but there also trying to get new blood to buy it as well.the bottom line here is the GAME IS DONE, they just want as much glory & buzz as possible & the best way to do that i guess is to keep pushing it back until a day comes when no other games are allowed to compete with them.so UBI thank you for a bit of wallet relief, but PLEASE find a date & COMMIT to it!btw UBI...i have had SC withdrawl since OCT.27 2006 so no more delays ok.

I just reserved it yesterday!!!!!!

This is RIDICULOUS. Splinter Cell Conviction was originally announced for Fall of 2007. 2007!!!
Three years ago! I know that there are other games coming out, such as Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, Dante's Inferno, etc., but this is just TOO much. I was excited to finally get the game in fall of '09, but then it was pushed back again. They better have a damn good reason for doing this for the nearly 10th time.

ok this is just pissing me off now, i JUST finally accepted the fact that i was going to have to wait till march and then they pull this, well ubisoft, for your sake i hope i don't die as a result of high blood pressure induced by your delays, because then my family will sue you
Warrior567

Project_Alice

I'm getting annoyed with all the delays. I don't mind them putting extra polish on a game, but if they game isn't ready, don't give it a release date. Be more like Blizzard, "It'll come out when it's finished".
masterfenix
YAY, even though I reserved the limited edition of convictions I can't help but be happy that its coming out later, especially since alot more games are coming out, and you never know this maybe the time they need to put back in SvM so people can stop whining.

I'm alright with this. February is already a big month with Dante's Inferno, as well as the Halo Legends DVD and Blu Ray, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths DVD/Blu Ray as well as the animated Planet Hulk to name a few releases.
nodhawk
This is kinda good news, now we get time to save up money and play the other games that are coming out here shortly.
GatsuBlackSword
Why? Well I Guess It works out I'm poor and now I can save for it I could not Afford Bioshock 2, Dante and Splinter Cell In One Month So Good Stuff Ubisoft.
