Crytek fans patiently waiting for an update on the development of Crysis 2, announced by Electronic Arts and Crytek in the summer of last year, should be happy to hear that EA has confirmed it's scheduled the release of Crysis game sometime before March 30, 2011.
March 30, 2011 is the end of EA's fiscal year 2011. I can't confirm the game's actually Crysis 2 because that's not how Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello referred to the upcoming Crysis release on a conference call with analysts discussing recent revisions to EA's financial outlook.
"I think we've got a fabulous title plan for fiscal [2011]," said Riccitiello. "We've got a great new version of Medal of Honor, a revitalized Need For Speed, Sims on console, FIFA in a World Cup year, an innovative and new take on Madden, Dead Space 2, Crysis at full margins, a new MMA game and many others."
Riccitiello is most likely referring to "Crysis at full margins" because while Crysis was a PC exclusive, Crysis 2 was announced for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 simultaneously.

I love how you refer to console gamers as "fanboys", but refer to yourself as a mere gamer, though you exhibit real frustration over comments that you could have easily blown off by playing Crysis right now. I think you're taking it a bit too seriously. They're jokes...
$1200 for a 360 at launch? Really? Or did you mean 3 Xbox Elites at launch?
Learn to math? How do you figure $60 times 20 games equals 200 USD? That's $1200 dollars, the price of your PC. I don't know where you shopped but I got a damn good Gateway FX6800 for $700 at Best Buy. i7 Processor, and a near-top-of-the-line ATI Radeon HD4850. You basically just proved everyone's point about spending so much for a "super computer", even if those points were merely jokes...

3grand for pc comments and SUPER COMPUTERS to run crysis is just console fanboys attempt to annoy pc gamers. i have a 1200 USD PC AND THAT 1200 is the SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY you'd of spend on your 360 if you bought it when it came out in 2005 plus 5 years of xbox live payments (lol pay to p2p game?) not to include the fact if you bought lets say 20 games on release thats 200 usd more so learn 2 math.
and btw my 1200 dollar pc other wise known as 5 years of xbox live + release date 360 can run crysis maxed out (dont know why the guy on top with the dual 260 gtx cant do it i have dual 9800 gtx overclocked sure but srsly?)

Yeah I have dual GTX-260 Video cards and they are monsters..... I still can't run Crysis or Crysis Warhead maxed out. I'm starting to think PC games are no longer worth it other then for Mass Effect, and other RPGs titles. FPS games on the PC have sucked for a while now. IE MW2 has massive problems on Nvidia cards and their tech support guys won't even fix them...... They have even more problems on ATI cards.
I will get Crysis 2 on my PS3 for sure because Warhead may look great but it sucks because the bugs kill it.

Yay another super awesome pretty game that can only be run by super computers from the year 2113.
All joking aside, it is nice to see console versions of Crysis 2 being release.

i cant wait for medal of honor now that i found out that dice is handling the multiplayer i wonder what they mean for madden i need to find out more with dead space 2 and crysis 2 is a for sure im hoping it comes out in late 2010 or maybe earlier but this article gives me doubt for that i clicked on this article hopeful for this march but i can c i was very very wrong lol

Yes I'm super happy Crysis is a-coming to consoles. I've never been able to play high-end PC games because I don't have $3000 every time some brilliant mind comes up with a better rendering of vegetation which is why I play consoles, where at least my investment is secure for a couple of years.
