A 10-point achievement entitled "A Primer In The Magical Arts" pushed me over the edge.
Even though I'd received a number of recommendations on various one-point achievements that would have nudged my gamerscore from 19,999 to 20,000, I didn't follow through on them. Like I said yesterday, achievements mean little to me (i.e. screw you, Assassin's Creed II feathers).
Still, it's a notable milestone. Onto...30,000?

I hit this milestone a while ago, I'm at just over 28,000.

a couple of nights ago, i cracked 15k with bionic commando. and then tonight, i just barely kept myself from ejecting bionic commando and cracking it on my knee cap.

Achievements and Trophys are the most enjoyable feature for this gen for me. I love the sense of accomplishment they don't me anything but you just love hearing that sound. I wish XBL or PSN would come up with some kind of badge set up on your profile when people look at.

I am at 88,001 right now. I really don't know where that 1 point came from and I am now trying to find out ways to get rid of it. Well ONTO 90,000!

Slow news day, eh?
Well, mine is at 49,000. I wanted to get it to 50,000 by the end of 09 but MW2 made it hard to play games like The Saboteur or Left 4 Dead 2. I took it from 20k to 49k in '09 since I was pretty lazy (indie developer). I just hope to get to 100k this generation. That would be cool. I mean, we play games for a reason, why not play them for achievements while we're at it? People associate losers with achievements but it's nothing more than playing a game to it's fullest. Now, people who play CRAPPY games just for achievements...they're losers. I try to just play good games. You won't find Avatar or King Kong on my games played list.
