A 10-point achievement entitled "A Primer In The Magical Arts" pushed me over the edge.
Even though I'd received a number of recommendations on various one-point achievements that would have nudged my gamerscore from 19,999 to 20,000, I didn't follow through on them. Like I said yesterday, achievements mean little to me (i.e. screw you, Assassin's Creed II feathers).
Still, it's a notable milestone. Onto...30,000?

I reciently passed 120,000 Gamerscore. I would say that I have no life, but I do. I am married for about 6 years and work full time. The secret to my success, 4-5 hours of sleep during the week, stay up till 5 am on friday night, and waking up early on Saturday. Also housework has to be optional. I have a guy on my friends list that has a score of about 250,000, I hate him. Ohh yea you also have to either buy and rent about 75% of the games made for 360 and believe me there are some really bad games out there. Best of luck gentlemen.

You don't like achievements Patrick? I think they're worth it, only reason is because it meets your expectations or goals. Especially if its one that is difficult or tough to get. I think they're cool, and Microsoft was the first to implement them. Sony came along late with the trophies so I at least have that for the meantime.
But I do agree that a achievement score is better than trophies. It builds up. The trophies matter if you got the "Gold" ones or the "Platinum" ones, even they get built but Sony makes it sound like you won a marathon and get a prize in reward, which is a trophy. But in essence, that's the intent.
I think achievements are way better than trophies, my opinion.

im at 49370. this is more than half of the total achievement points i can have with past played games.

i got about 12000 cuz i just dont play enough games to get a lot or go "hey im bored, lets go get feathers for 50 points!" and no i dont know the actual value. i mean i dont really like the achievements cuz really youo dont achieve much except accomplish something you can read and look up to do like a map for the feathers. although i did play through every origin in dragon age just to see the stories and it looks like i was achievement whoring. i honestly dont care about it except to mock my friend who has had their 360 half as long as me but has twice the score because he goes, its the weekend now im gonna go for 100% finished on my new game. its stupid

Wow, after reading all these post, I think it is safe to say that gamer scores are how other gamers try and measure up to one another. Who has the biggest willy? Well my game score is 23,550 so my willy is the biggest, oh yeah mine is 31,090 so my willy is the biggest!

I think he meant like show off WHICH Trophie's you got that your most proud of that you can set up for anyone to see without comparing games. Also, that percentage is your PSN level. Idk what you get for it, but I'm like level 4 almost to 5.
