DJ Hero wasn't the phenomenon that Guitar Hero's become, but Activision is apparently getting behind their new music game for another round. Destructoid noticed that DJ David Guetta recently told Canadian-based newspaper Kelowna that he's excited to work on the next DJ Hero.
“I think it's amazing, this game, and I'm going to work on the No. 2 version,” said Guetta. “It's a really crazy game. After 10 minutes, you get the rush that a DJ gets after 10 years of practising. I have fun with it, but you know what? I can't go to the maximum level. It's too difficult for me. It's crazy.”
Given the modest sales of DJ Hero, it seems unlikely Activision would produce a whole new peripheral for the second installment of DJ Hero, but given that most of my issues with DJ Hero were with the peripheral itself (read my review over here), I'm crossing my fingers Activision takes the plunge.

i dont think the biggest flaw was the controller, i mean yes you do have to get use to it especially the cross fadeer but the biggest flaw was that sadly activision released this and not harmonix. i mean lets face it harmonix put out much better peripherals and they understand that these are music games so you dont have to put out 5 games a year just give the fans a choice to download more song, songs they will enjoy and not forced to buy and a guitar hero 37 that only has 5 song you actually enjoy. They have only released 2 track packs and 1 of them was free as a promo for gamestop, thats just weak. Sadly before this game came out and what was keeping me from buying this game for sure was the fact that it came from the birth place of guitar hero and the only reason i did buy it was the renegade edition, aND STOP USING TAYLOR SWIFT FOR YOUR EVIL WAYS!!!!!!!!!!

As a resident of the fine city of Kelowna, British Columbia, I can inform you that the this media medium is in fact only a website, and not a newspaper. Thanks for the shout out though.

I'm REALLY excited that David Guetta is working on DJ Hero 2... it makes sense seeing as he is probably the most popular house DJ in the world right now that he has that hit single with Akon. I would like to see a bit more electronic music in this one... there were a LOT of great electronic artists that got left out of the first installment. Award-winning producers like Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, & Deadmau5 should all be included in this one.

I still haven't played the first one and heard some alright things about it. But I have to say, you didn't like it my unidentified and reluctant friend? Sorry, forgot to say American as well to make it sound intricate. You gotta be content, my well deserve friends and by the way @NO-Fat, you are fat, lose some damn weight.
But I gotta see was up with the first one than making a generalization on how the second one will play. So I can only speculate and judge and it may not be fair.

um, he didn't really say he was workin on it.

I could've seen this coming a mile away, especially since dlc costs so much to make and sell.

I'm so tired of DJ Hero and it hasn't even been newsworthy aside from its publisher... Now I get reports of a 2nd game in the works!?!?!?

I am excited for DJ Hero 2. I liked the original DJ Hero very much and it is one of the best music games ever.

I will definitely be buying. And I really, REALLY hope that Daft Punk makes a set list for DJH2, because their setlist on DJH is freaking fantastic.

i bought dj hero and liked it, and i will buy dj hero 2, but seeing how activision loves to milk games particularly the gh series, i kinda saw this coming
SirValor1177
I wouldn't have been able to guess, because Activision doesn't milk their games.

David Guetta actually had a popular song in Canada a few years back so quite a few Canadians know about him.

yea I'll be picking it up. In my opinion they need to do something like numark is doing with it's controller but then again scratch is a different game where it let's you free scratch so it'd probably wouldn't work for dj hero. I was at a party for new years eve and the night after, me and another friend took turns on the turntables when one wanted to take a break. When we both wanted off, we just put dj hero into the ps3 and set it to party mode. Very useful, I couldn't dj once I passed out
