There have been plenty of great games released in 2009, but as the year finally comes to a close, it's time to look forward. 2010 looms and unlike previous years, there will be no lull in the first few months. The series of delays from 2009 mean the 2010 will be kicking off with a bang and the Feedback crew -- Adam Sessler, myself, Abbie Heppe and Andrew Pfister -- decided to spend New Years Eve (we're that dedicated, friends) discussing their most anticipated games of next year.

Feedback -- The Games of 2010 Edition »

In this episode of Feedback...

  • I discuss a recent hands-on session with one of 2010's earliest AAA releases, Mass Effect 2, and how BioWare is actively addressing the issues that hurt the original.
  • Adam and Abbie have an obsession with Red Dead Redemption. Specifically, horse butts.
  • There's both excitement and apprehension over Team Ninja's collaboration with Nintendo for Metroid: Other M. Will the series become too action-oriented for its own good?
  • And, of course, much, much more...

Feedback, ditching New Years Eve plans to talk about games because we're crazy. Please, subscribe.

Hey i have a few questions not really reguarding the feedback. When you guys review your games how do you do it? On a big screen with full 7.1 surround sound or on a smaller screen with headphones?

I think you guys are in denial. In 5 years, everybody will have 3D TV's. I saw an NVIDIA 3D gaming demo at PAX this past year, and it actually works really well, especially for FPS. Personally, I can't wait to play Madden or MLB the show on a 3D TV. Can you imagine a reboot of Shadow of the Colossus in 3D? I just feel like gaming companies will have a much easier time incorporating 3D than they are having with motion control. It just seems like it would be more intuitive for them as they are already building 3D landscapes.

Although 2D games in 3D might also be cool. Remember Wario Land for Virtual Boy?

My first gaming console was the Sega Master System. In regards to the final reader question, I find that none of the modern Mario or Zelda games interest me at all. I respect the history of those franchises and what they mean to gaming but as an "old school" gamer, I find that my tastes in games has changed quite considerably. Older gamers say they enjoy the newer Mario and Zelda games, but deep down inside what they really enjoy is the nostalgia factor. If one takes the nostalgia factor out of the mix, what essentially remains are the same game mechanics of old. Those franchises do well to ensnare new gamers and thus keeping a certain gaming culture alive but they do nothing to push gaming to the next level. And while i'm at it, I would also like to add that modern Sonic games reak of suckage worse than the new Mario's and Zelda's. Good day to you all.

@Justin_bristoe Your an idiot. What PS3 exclusives are coming out next year? (That wasn't meant as a rehtorical I want to know...) But honestly, you stupid fanboys thinking G4 is biased yadda, yadda. Just shut up, nobody cares about what you have to say because your WRONG. But is your ego so damaged that you would sit here trying your best to deface the G4 staff, because they didn't talk about "Your console." Grow up. Join the real world get a job and develop a functioning brain you worthless pile. They talked about the games they wanted to play. Apparently there were no PS3 games theat they had the strongest urge to play. Your essenially demonizing them for having an opinion. Look up all the PS3 exclusives and you'll find that almost all of them have fours or fives. Does that make you happy? Or are you going to find some other reason to complain? Your such a.. You know, never mind. Your a waste of space. Just go. Get the hell out.
