According to Ripten, the recent title update to the PS3 version of Madden NFL 10 fixes up some minor problems with the game, but also something you probably don't want: More ads. Specifically, Madden now reminds you that Madden Arcade is available to download with a pop-up window... before every. single. snap. That means you'll see advertising for Madden Arcade at least 4 times with each possession (barring turnovers) which adds up to hundreds (thousands?) of ad impressions per day for hardcore Madden players.
Apparently, the 360 version works the same way, except with even more annoying ads for Microsoft's new Bing! search engine.
Eventually, the sheer volume of Madden commercials might break you down, and you might download the game, just to kill the constant in-game spam; but sorry. The ads reportedly continue, even after you download Madden Arcade. So, yeah, gamers, happy holidays.

if you want - just unplug your internet whenever you play madden! Stick it to the man! Screw them and their advertising, sure you'll have to hear about how you should be a "chompion" but at least you'll know they wasted some money in their advertising venture with Bing! and in promotion for the arcade.

I will give it time. If they take that extra ad revenue and use it to bring us a truly polished game with a presentation that rivals NFL 2k5 then I don't see the problem with it. If they deliver another broken game then I won't buy Madden anymore.
EA still gets $60 out of me though because NCAA Football is my favorite game.

I'd understand it if it was a free game like trackmania united forever (sometimes has ads they are funny though) but really people should stop buying from this monopoly. the law should get involved it would be fun to watch. (not sure if that is possible but i hope so)

You want to advertise more in my games, go ahead . Just lower the price down from 60 bucks to like 30 bucks or i wont buy the game simple as that

i don't mind ads where you would find in a real football game, such as ads next to scoreboards in stadiums. but this is just ridiclous. ea is just of bunch of money whores

I'm pretty much at the point of totally disliking EA. If all these companies are going to start advertising in the games I play then the price of games should go down!!

Bing sucks and I will never buy Madden games. MICROSOFT TAKE NOTE. More ads are not the answer. That's why I use Firefox with Ad Blocker Plus. Try to put more ads on my Xbox and I will gladly give my money to either the Playstation or Nintendo side. And I will never pay for lame Avatar clothing either so suck it.
