Modern Warfare 2 does have a terrific soundtrack, but to be honest I think 1943 sounds a lot better in surround sound vs. MW2.

I agree with most of the list. However I would have expected Demon's Souls or Dragon Age to win for best RPG.
Uncharted 2 is sweeping this year's game awards!

YEAH Uncharted 2 I personally think it deserves the GOTY. The multiplayer was pretty good, but the single player was the greatest one of the greatest I've ever experienced.

Not too many problems with this year's picks. Good to see a game as great as Uncharted 2 win. It is unfortunate that Assassin's Creed 2 could not get something (I thought they should have got best character) and the RPG award was screwed up from the nominations. Other than that, nice job X-play.

It was a good year, can't wait for 2010 esp if Starcraft II finally does come out. Also there is Mass Effect 2 coming up soooo close. I'll be playing Shadow Complex and ME for like the 4th or 5th playthrough now haha.

Xplay... i am very very VERY disappointed in u guys..... picking uncharted 2 for game of the year is not right..... this is a cheap rip of of gears of war 2... but i give it that it has good graphics and as u say the dialog is pretty cool... but then its just a bad and and the multiplayer is just bad.......modern warfare 2 should have won... that game just takes a fat dump on every other shooter on the market...

I'm a little disappointed Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days was snubbed from anything, as was Arkham Asylum. Regardless, congradulations to Uncharted 2

Sad to see the Halo 3: ODST didn't pick up at least one that it was nominated for, most likely best soundtrack, but i couldn't vote so oh well.
Otherwise i can't really complain about the list. It was pretty much expected which games would dominate the winners for the most part and they pulled through.

Ok for the most part i agree with this actually...though except best orignal game and best innovative...i personally think that should've belonged to scribblenauts...i mean even when bringing up borderlands in the short list for best orignal game they say that its revisiting the genre and just making it better..which im pretty sure doesn't make it orignal....but...enough groaning...overall, Good list! no ps3 fanboys or 360 fanboys should be having a flamewar over this list..
