Did you know that over the last few years, Nintendo trademarked the names "Zii," "Oii," "Cii," "Bii," and "Yii" in Japan? Well they did.
You might be thinking, "Steve! Does that mean the next Nintendo console will be called the 'Nintendo Zii' or the 'Nintendo Oii?"" To which I would reply: "Probably not."
Nintendo is probably keeping a close, legal eye on variations of the spelling of the Wii in order to make it harder for look-a-like systems to steal market share from the Wii. This is, by and large, a good thing, because I can't imagine a worse Christmas than one where you ask for a Nintendo Wii and Santa drops of a Mimtendo Bii.

I wonder if the new Nintendo home console will be called after one of these. Actually I just wonder what the next console is period.

When i first started reading this post & saw the "Zii" "Cii" & Bii"s for a second there i thought "Is that how Nintendo spells their buttons names?" Huh, i really do need to cut back on the energy drinks.

A place at our mall has something called a Vii. Its packed with tons of old crappy nes games. Although it does have contra and few other non crappy ones. Still funny

Don't diss the Bii, hehe... :)
Dragon Ball themed Zii system could be interesting. Dragonball Zii!

A Wii is the worst console to EVER come out.

But "Wii" goes with "We". Bii,Cii, and Zii, just dont make any sense. Except maybe for the whole copy thing, and then there you have the rest the alphabet.

I'm guessing this was done for accessory ideas and newer models of the Wii but that's just speculation.

I bought one of those knock off systems at a store in Brooklyn, knowing very well what it was. I just had to see how crappy it was. The box showed a system that looked nearly identical to the Wii, with Vibrant 3D Graphics on a whole slew of sports games.
Taking it out of the box was a thing for the ages. It weighed about a quarter of a pound, and the remote was made of such cheap plastic the two buttons had already come off in the box. Plugging it in didn't work, since there was no plug provided in the box and I had to use one of my own.
The remote was so unresponsive that within a matter of minutes it was crystal clear that this was going to be one heck of a ride. The games looked like PS1 games, but not quite that advanced. More like what a GBA looks like when playing Wolfenstein 3D. Nothing was registering on the remote. And I finally realized that if I placed the remote down, and left it there, the game would play itself.....Then, I had to best idea ever.
I had already bought my friend a Wii for his B-Day that was in a couple days, so I took my old Wii box, and placed the knock off in there and packaged it back up. I gave it to him and, and waited. I got a call two days later when he eventually opened it and I was about to star cracking up when I picked up and say "Hahah, I got you. I'll drop off the real thing later" when he said "Dude, wanna come over and play some Wii, I've been playing the skateboarding game. I didn't know the games came built in".
Needless to say that I may have soiled myself while trying to stop laughing. He now has the REAL Wii.
