ZeniMax Acquires RAGE Publishing Rights From EA

Bethesda Softworks’ parent company ZeniMax Media has acquired the rights to publish id Software’s post-apocalyptic shooter, Rage.

Electronic Arts Partners secured publishing rights for Rage back in 2008, but now the mega-publisher “will not be involved in the sales and marketing of Rage,” according to ZeniMax.

Despite the publishing shift to Bethesda, the move won’t affect Rage’s development, at least so says ZeniMax, who purchased id Software back in June. No details were released regarding the price of the publishing rights swap, and there is still no news of when Rage will be hitting the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
