Q Games has a long history of fun little games that get you hooked through the bag and won't let go, like PixelJunk Monsters and PixelJunk Eden, but not everyone is convinced. Take, for example, reviewer Patrick Klepek, who wasn't particularly moved by either of them. Still, though, he gathered the fortitude to take up the helm and review Q's PixelJunk Shooter, the new downloadable for the PS3. What did he think?
'I gave PixelJunk Monsters a shot, but it doesn't take long for a tower defense game to wear out its welcome. Failing that, I booted up PixelJunk Eden, but pleasing aesthetics aside, the hooks never sank in. My friends call me crazy for not digging the PixelJunk games. They can stop questioning my sanity now, however. With PixelJunk Shooter, Q-Games hit the sweet spot.'
Uh oh. Looks like Patrick's hooked, too. You might want to check out the rest of the review and read the score to see if you might be interested in the game, but it looks like it might be curtains for all of us, in the best possible way.

Believe it or not, this is one of my most anticipated games of the year. Can't wait to give it a go tonight.

Very fun game! Somewhere in the first batch of caves, did anyone else get a notification that they had earned a 'Home item'? I logged into Home later on and checked my inventory, but didn't see anything new/PJ Shooter related.
