Wet Developer's Next Game To Feature Vengeful, Terrorist Bears

As Stephen Colbert has reiterated to us over and over again, bears are one of the most dangerous and unstoppable forces threatening humanity’s survival. Well, the developers over at Artificial Mind & Movement (Wet) have decided to find out just how diabolical and vicious a bear can truly be by making a game about what happens when one of these furry killing machines gets the cold shoulder from his bear brethren.

Naturally, it's entitled Naughty Bear, and tells the tale of a bear who, after not being invited to a birthday celebration, goes on a bloodthirsty rampage of revenge and terror across his homeland, aptly named, Perfection.

505 Games president Adam Kline said in a statement, “Players tired of the same old shoot-‘em-up, recycled gameplay are going to get what’s coming to them in Naughty Bear.”

Hopefully, the game takes itself more seriously than other cutesy/ultra-violent titles like Fairytale Fights, because this formula has been seen a number of times in the past, and a darker, more serious tone would really help set the game apart from similarly themed titles, and would make the game significantly more disturbing.

The game will be released next year on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
