What's on the Halo 3: ODST disc is all Bungie Studios has planned for the game. In a post-release interview with the team, Bungie confirmed there are no plans to release any downloadable content for Halo 3: ODST. The developer's focus has moved onto Halo: Reach, a much more ambitious project.
"There are no current plans for any ODST DLC [downloadable content]," said design lead Lars Bakken. "The Bungie team is full steam ahead on Reach with a lot of work between now and the multiplayer beta and then final release next fall."
Disappointment shouldn't last long, as we're expected to learn more about Halo: Reach soon.

glad i did not by it!

The whole game should have been DLC to begin with like Shadow Complex. It would have been a considerable barganin for 20 bucks but they could have tagged it with 30 or 40 maybe based on the Halo name alone...period.....But yeah, I'll buy Halo Reach too, go figure.

Thank god I sold ODST within the first week of buying it because it was such a disappointment. No matchmaking in firefight and a 4-5 hour long campaign (on legendary!) means I was getting very little bang for my buck. I already owned the original halo so it wasn't like the competitive multiplayer aspect was a selling point. Anyways I am so happy I sold it quick. Got $50 for it so I only lost roughly $15 as opposed to hanging onto it and being out $60 and stuck with a crap game. That's coming from someone who's loved the halo serious up to this point dearly.

i hope that Reach will be super sick. especially the multiplayer beta version cause i have the code from ODST
and for the record ODST was a great game but i did expect a little more out of it. firefight made up for the most part and the campaign was in no way short

Thank the GODS that COD Modern Warfare 2 was coming out...Other wise i would have bought that piece of crap that only last 4 hours!!! OOOHHH it has a Horde like mode!! Well Ill just Play Gears for that one friends...Maybe if I'm not addicted to COD by next year ill try Reach...But i highly doubt it!!!

Reach better give me the biggest orgasm I've ever had, or no more Halo.

To be fair they did add the whole Halo 3 online maps with the game. So in this case I can argue that they've done enough for us involving ODDST.

Who cares? No matchmaking makes DLC useless!
ODST was great but Bungie needs to catch up with their competetion. Hopefully Reach will be Bugnie's best game yet.

After charging full price for a game that only had new (and short) single player campaign, that's just a low blow. Reach better be damn amazing.

Not surprised. They've made it clear that reach is the priority.
Too bad though,
ODST was great. I hope they keep doing stuff like this.
I wonder how many of the jerks bashing ODST actually played it? My guess is that they are just PS3 fanboys attacking what they think is a weak 360 title. Poor them, they still don't have anything like halo after all these years.

Here's the reason the PS3 boys are so upset.

Biggest week one sales of all time and the top 5 consists of 4 xbox games, 2 of which were exclusive.
The PS3 has no exclusives in the top ten an only appears in the # 6 spot as MW2.
# 10 is FFX with 2,651,008, so you can imagine that ODST with 2.2m isn't far off that list.

I'm not surprised. I would rather have them focusing on Halo: Reach rather than DLC for ODST. ODST is a good game and if Reach wasn't being released next year, I would be complaining, but I would rather have everything put into Reach at this point. I get tired of hearing people complain about ODST. People seem to forget that there is campaign, Firefight, and every Halo 3 map for multiplayer, plus some maps not released for Halo 3. There are a number of games that just give you one short campaign and a crappy multiplayer; ODST is NOT one of those games.
Erthazus
LOLWUT? From the beggining... ODST IS a DLC.

Nowaday if a game sold its because of the hype and marketing. So quantity sold dont mean quality games , Halo is a perfect exemple .
Fyzban
yea, why doing DLC for a game suppose to be an extention in the first place. Anyway 1 DLC would double the time it take to do the campaign lol.

I love how you guys at G4 do one interview and make 5-10 Feed posts on every single question in it over the span of a week. What's wrong? Is there no news or nothing else interesting to say so you have to tipping your hat back to what you've already done? Or is it that important that we read the inane fluff piece talking about how ODST turned into a super AAA title without them even realizing it? I own ODST, and even I feel like this is being stretched out a bit too far.
XXXSpartan118XXX
Halo still beats any Ps3 exclusive out so its win for any Halo fan. Reach will put any other FPS to shame. ahhh so gald i got an Xbox first and not a Ps3.

@BONERJAM
Why would you have dlc for what should have been dlc?
@T_Rexx
Um... Wasn't the DLC paid for already? $60 bucks
@mikemill
No DLC for ODST because.... wait for it.... the whole ODST package was DLC
Are the 3 of you related? Oh i get it was a contest to see who would post THE SAME COMMENT AGAIN SINCE ODST WAS RELEASED. Let me understand the logic here. 5-6 campaign (4 player co-op),Every single DLC map for Halo 3 (plus 3 new ones) and 4 player firefight not worth 60 bucks BUT a game like Heavenly Sword (which still sells for over 50 bucks) is? Heavenly Sword is 4 hours long with NO REPLAY value what so ever. How about charging 40 bucks for a demo called GT prologue? How about Warhawk only being multiplayer game. When it first came out it was 39.99 by itself. a full 2 years later and it still sells for 29.99. Do you see how stupid it looks to complain about the price. I have an Idea you disagree with the price don't buy it. Simple.

I was hoping for some Firefight DLC. Be it a few more maps to play with or a competitive multiplayer mode. It's kind of disapointing that it's not going to happen, but understandable with Bungie's commitment to the development of Halo: Reach.
Along those lines, I am very excited to see something from Halo: Reach... especially if the story parallels the book, \"The Fall of Reach\".
rayken15
aw man. I was really hoping for some more firefight maps. Love that mode.
