I'm not sure exactly why, but every single woman I know loves Project Runway. The design-based reality TV show holds some strange thrall over the female gender, and thus appears on every television in America owned by a couple. But it's only an hour a week, right? Wrong. Starting March 2, 2010, your TV will be taken over indefinitely by a Project Runway game for the Wii.
Project Runway will feature hosts/judges Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia as well as eight top contestants from season six of the show. The gameplay will feature what sounds like a bunch of mini-games, like a catwalk strut using the balance board, an interactive garment studio, a fashion photographer mini-game, hair and makeup studios and "fashion career mode."
I bring this game up because I sincerely hope this will actually be a quality title for the Wii -- just because it's aimed at women doesn't mean it should be bad. I fear, however, that this will be a piece of shovelware with "quick buck" written all over it.
