Tomorrow on X-Play, we get an early look at what might be the first ever game based on an epic poem when we take a look at a slice of hell with Dante's Inferno. Executive Producer from Visceral Games, Jonathan Knight, will be in-studio, taking us through creatures, bosses and puzzles. He'll also tell us about levels not located in the nine circles of Hell, and tell us what kinds of levels players can expect once they fire up the game.
But, that's not all. Jonathan will talk about the unique gameplay mechanics, as well as your weapons and the powers your characters will have to play with. You'll also get a quick lesson in beast taming (not like you need it), and an explanation of the leveling system in the game.
We'll find out if there are plans for a sequel, and how that might even be possible. Finally, there will be two level demos from Dante's Inferno, including an early look at a place called Anger, and riding a huge mount in the City of Dis, which sounds like an Erik B and Rakim track from 1988, but, sadly, is not.
Tune in tonight at 6:30PM to catch the heat from Dante's Inferno with your old pals at X-Play. We can't keep you out of Hell, but we can teach you what to do once you get there.

I am just afraid that they keep showing too much about this game. How big this game is? We don't know yet. How many hours do we need to beat this game. How bif are the stages. Many questions without any answers apparently...
I played GOW I and II, both games have many hours of entertainement. GOW was a hit in Brazil. ( country that I came from) Now I am living here in US, and hoping to enjoy a good game besides GOW.

This game is goin to kick ass.

As long as they don't try to make a GOW clone and stay true to the awesome source material the game should be on point.
Oh yeah can we get a game longer than 8-10 hours because I am tired of paying six dollars an hour for games.

Why is everyone so excited. Don't they show a preview of this game every week? What elese could they show that has not been shown already?
That being said i will not watch the preview. I'm going to wait for a few reviews from gamers (and X-Play) and then pick it up. I'm tired of all the surprises in games being spoiled by over exposure. I mean if I'm going to pay $60 for something should I have the joy of seeing it for the first time?
Looks like a good game, but I have and will continue to avoid all previews, dev blogs, etc. Games are so much better this way.

GOW 3 looks amazing and I already pre-ordered it. But with that said, I m more interested in Bayoneta, Darksiders, and Dante s Inferno because while GOW 3 looks well polished, it doesn t depart itself enough from the series.(besides graphics)

Beowulf is an epic poem, however the game was based off of the movie interpretation and not the poem itself. Seeing the amount of actual content from the poem that is being included, I would not go so far as to call this game based on Inferno, as much as inspired by. The poem is not an epic action adventure. And Cerebus is a dog, not a mouth/tongue monster.

Umm. Hello? Beowolf is an Epic Poem. That makes Dante's Inferno #2. If you wanna call it that.

I think this film will get a 4 out of 5 like all of the other games that have their own X-play Episode. It happened with Guitar Hero 4, Left 4 dead 2 and Brutal Legend and it'll probably happen with this one.

I can't wait to play this game!!!! This game will beat GOW-III I am sure about that! This game has a unique play system, which is good and it is not repetitive as GOW is.

I was excited before about Dantes Inferno and now I can't wait for 6:30.
