Borderlands

Gearbox Software has speculated about the future of Borderlands and Take-Two Interactive is, too. On a conference call discussing an adjusted financial outlook the company today, Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick stressed how happy the company is with the performance of Borderlands.

"[Borderlands is showing] every sign of becoming an important, longterm franchise," said Zelnick.

Looks like we're on track to see Borderlands 2 in a few years.

what i would like to see in borderlands 2 would be to make the gun companies matter. such as if you buy a lot ofr guns from Tediore, then maybe you get a discount, or a special gun offered. also you should be able to modify your guns within the same company and type. for example if you have two hunters shotguns from jakobs and one has an extended magazine but the other has a scope, as long as the are both from jakobs and both the same type of shotgun, and not a unique (red letter quote) gun, then you should be able to take the best from both. more elements would be nice (ice wind etc) and a more indepth= rpg element. and lastly it would be nice if the next tier of upgrades unlocked with you level instead of how many points u have invested. that way you could save ur points and use them better

but whatever is done ill buy it first day. Gearbox is deff on my list of devs to watch no matter what game they decide to make. keep up the good work Gearbox!!!!

Probably the only real complaint i had about the game at all was the ungodly load times between areas. It wasnt always slow but when it was it took forever sometimes and it just took you out of the experience. I love the cell shading and the random weapon generation and pretty much everything else about the game!

No doubt, GOTY. I do NOT want to see Borderlands 2 for a while though. Give us more DLC, hell give us a crap load of DLC like Fallout did.

Short game a lot of people are still pissed off about the ending, DLC was way too short. Not enough rare guns drops. I have played threw twice and still the weapon drops are garbage. I have a bad taste left over from borderlands, it was cool and sucked at the same time. The ending and the new DLC have sent my copy back to the store. Needs more RPS quality in game. Kill the level cap and take it to 100. Stop repeating same enemies with different names. I could go on for days and days. Back to street fighter 4.

i say lets see a sequel but it should take 200 years later for the vault to be re-open and to focus on thatlike the first

ive said some of this in a reply but im going to say it here too. also note that just cause i say i think borderlands 2 needs such and such, doesnt mean im complaining about it in the first one

i am deffinately looking forward to a Borderlands 2 (esp if there is some dlc for borderlands along the way) i think borderlands 2 should be on a different planet obvi. it needs more variety in the different places and deff more variety in the enemies. Also you dont need more guns just more stuff to do with them then just collect them. With soo many guns i dont find any better ones then i have (not saying i have the best it just takes a long time to find better ones once you find good ones) this would include things like upgrading them, customizing them, adding more elements (ice, wind, etc) i would also like more upgrades (that should start as soon as u hit lvl 2) and maybe instead of putting 5 points into one lvl to unlock the next, the next lvl should unlock once you hit a certain lvl so you dont have to waste points into something you dont want, just do get to the next lvl. this would also make point placement more strategic. but in the end no matter what you do with borderlands too it is a sure buy for me, no matter what the reviews are or what ppl say

on that note gearbox definately has my attention now. whenever they make a new game i am automatically going to look into it and probably buy it no matter what reviews give it, whether the next game be borderlands 2 or some completely different game, gearbox is now on my list of developers to watch (along with insomniac, bethesda, and kojima) although i didnt like wet by bethesda, but i am looking at brink (yes i know they are publishers no developers, but you get my point

    anyways good luck borderlands! :)

I think in Borderlands 2 you should be able to customize your character how you want them to look like. I don't know whether or not its a good idea but I think it is

Borderlands is an AWESOME game! It didn't have the blah, blah, blah talking like most rpgs and that's why I loved it. Who needs a deep story? I just want to kill with really sweet guns. Each charater class did have a different feel to them and there are fast travel stations it just takes awhile to unlock, keep playing. (It's worth it!) Uncharted 2 GOTY. Even though Assassins Creed 2 is great too, soooo much better than the first.

^pls... Borderlands deserves to go to Borderlands 3. In Borderlands 2 though i need some more character customization and the ability to mod/combine weapons so that you dont have to give up your fav weapon. That way if i get an incendiery shotgun and i want to get more accuracy, or a mod that makes it shoot eploding ammo instead i can instead of finding that particular water.

i thought it was overly repetitive, definitely not a buy and i am not looking forward to another at all, i would rather wait for the new fallout.

They Deserve every last bit of praise they have gotten. Borderlands was absolutely FANTASTIC and Gearbox has shown us, again, that they have some serious talent over there. I can not wait to play a sequel, but for the moment I am perfectly happy with the DLC!

I got wind of it over a year ago and the wait was well worth it. So I would definetly be up for a sequel. And btw, isn't fast travel what you do when you go to the travel station, choose where you want to go, and bingo, there you go ?? Maybe some didnt put enough time in it before they started complaining because it isn't available until you open up quite a bit of the game, but it is there and it is fast !!

This is great news! I wonder what they'll do with it, though? The story of the vault, and therefore Pandora, is over. I wouldn't mind a different planet altogether, that riffs on sci-fi conventions and settings other than \"quasi-apocalyptic wasteland\".

Also, more customization please! An MORE GUNS!!
