By and large, Q-Games moves onto something new after releasing a game. It's refreshing and there aren't large gaps between the release of new PixelJunk games. But PixelJunk Shooter might represent something different, as Q-Games president and PixelJunk Shooter executive producer Dylan Cuthbert told readers of the official PlayStation blog that he hopes to make a sequel to this one.
"It’s not episodic in the sense you are thinking of," Cuthbert told a reader asking about possible expansions to PixelJunk Shooter, "but we hope we get the chance to make a sequel."
This would mark the first time Q-Games has produced a direct sequel in the PixelJunk line. Q-Games released an expansion to PixelJunk Eden and remixed PixelJunk Monsters for PSP.

i think it would be prudent to at least wait til the day AFTER the games release to talk about sequels.

If the game is even half as awesome as I think it will be, I'm all for a sequel. After Monsters and Eden, I've decided to throw my money at Q-Games whenever I get the chance. Can't wait until next Thursday.

Im a big fan of Q-Games Pixel Junk series so Ill defiantly be picking Shooter up and it would be nice to get a true sequel out of the series.

It would be cool to see a sequal; that is if the game does well enough.
