You can now purchase DJ Hero's turntable controller separate from the game. Hurrah!

See, Activision didn't make it a cheap endeavor to for players to engage in local multiplayer for DJ Hero. The plastic instrument was only available as part of the $119.99 bundle, not separately. It prevented players from picking up a cheaper controller and bringing it to a friend's place. A little over a month since DJ Hero's launch, however, and that problem's solved.

You can't just head over to GameStop and pick up a controller, though. For the time being, Activision is only offering the turntable controller at the online Guitar Hero Store for $69.99.

The separate controllers are currently listed as available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii. DJ Hero was also released on PlayStation 2, but the PlayStation 3 controller is compatible with it.
