Despite the skepticism when Left 4 Dead 2 was announced at E3, gamers flooded to their wallets like a brain-hungry horde to purchase Left 4 Dead 2. Valve announced today the zombie sequel has sold more than two million copies in its first two weeks of release.
At last count, Left 4 Dead, developed by Valve and published by Electronic Arts, had sold more than 3 million copies. Both games were published on Xbox 360 and the PC. Based on the sales data so far, it's looking like the sequel is actually on track to surpass the original.
According to Valve, more than a million players have logged into Xbox Live to play online and promised news on the first wave of downloadable content for Left 4 Dead 2 is "coming very soon."
I liked Left 4 Dead 2 quite a bit. With the game in the hands of everyone now, however, I really need to hop online and see what amazing strategies people have devised to make my life a living hell.

I think we should boycott G4tv for being the most idiot game show I have ever seen.
This isn't a game show at all... we pay to watch COPS, for example, when we can watch it on a basic cable.

i think this game left for dead 2 should be for ps3 also because i have one and left for dead2 looks so good and the makers would make more money and it could be a bigger hit so if you know the gamer of left 4 dead 2 or someone who knows him plz try to convince the game maker of left 4 dead2 to make or at least think about makeing it for the ps3 plz respond

i think left for dead 2 is the greats game i played but how come you can't use the witch the witch is the most crazy zombie yet right but the whole game is THE GREATS GAME I PLAY I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT!!!

When I stated \"Or Valve is lying\" It was a joke, guess you didnt get It. I never said Left 4 Dead couldnt sell 2 Million copies, I just simply posted the current facts, while your too busy trying to put words In my mounth to attempt to make an point. You do realize that VGChartz.com's unit sales interpreters are the NPD group right? You most likely didnt know. Also Nov 23rd Is the last time the worldwide check was done. The weekly sales is done daily, hence the ability to check utilizing VG's charts when comparing sells.
I still laugh at Forza 3's sells seeing how three iterations still couldnt beat one iteration, there still down by around 1 million If I'm correct. Also the PS3 has led the 360 In sales for the last two months by more than 100,000 look up the numbers, and It still Is for this month currently too, especislly world-wide In Asia.
I applaud you though for actually using your brain, instead of your other redundant rants. Looks like I still know what I'm talking about. Wouldnt you say?

meh. I like first person shooters and i like zombie movies so you would think i would like left 4 dead. But i don't. I find it repetitive.

Your trying to say Valve is lying about numbers as if to say Left 4 Dead couldn't sell 2 million copies. Your taking numbers from an article that posted on Nov 23rd. Not only that but the NPD group has the more accurate sales numbers not VG Chartz. As for laughing at Forza 3 sales it took it about the same amount of time to reach 1 million in sales as Uncharted 2. And the PS3 has only outsold the 360 for the last 2 months by less than about 100,000 consoles so its not like its some sort of domination like the PS3 owners said it would be.

Where In my post did I say that this was an conspiracy? Read Again kid, you apparently dont know what your talking about, I just simply posted how the 360 version of the game was a flop compared to the PC. Forza has just barely touched a million LOL, GT4 is still outselling Forza, Forza 2, and Forza 3.
PS3 Is still beating the 360, Even with the Elite price cut and Halo ODST. Get over It.

I don't know why your acting all suprised. 360 games sell big all the time no matter if its multiplat or exclusive. ODST sold 2 million in about 2 weeks, Forza 3 has already sold over a million so why would it be some sort of 'conspiracy\" if the 360 version did well. The 360 and MS are doing just fine in hardware and software sales even with the PS3 price cut. Get over it.

Played a little at a Lan, was fun, but once I got through the content, I just couldn't see myself re-playing through it with the same enthusiasm. Even with the the supposed AI Director, shooting npc's just get boring after a while. Besides the point, I don't understand why G4 doesn't actually take the time to listen to serious concerns of the pc community like L4D2. Just because I go to Lans does not make me a hardcore pc gamer who demands everything for free through self-entitlement, its getting rather ridiculous the entire stereotype G4 is putting on us. What was G4's opinion on concerns of IW removing most dedicated servers, map choosing, and player caps on pc? Do you consider us some giant arrogant group of elitist? Bring on the thumbs down :/

Jeez, the PC saved this game. It barely passed 500,000(Xbox 360) with all the 360 Fanboys out there, So either the PC version sold 2,000,000+ copies, or Valve is lying.
Lol the 360 Fanboys might just start buying second copies just so the 360 version will beat Uncharted 2.
