We're a little perplexed here at G4 over the sheer number of people viewing the below trailer for Kingdom Under Fire 2.
Sure, Kingdom Under Fire was a solid RTS-action game, and the series has a pretty hardcore cult-following, but it's not like the sequel has been huge on our radar here. But apparently, it's on someone's radar, because we've been doing a brisk trade in people checking out the trailer below. Maybe it's the screengrab we picked to promote it...
The game comes out for PC and Xbox 360 sometime in 2010.

So there was Kingdom Under Fire: Crusaders, Kingdom under Fire: Heroes, and then Kingdom under Fire: Circle of Doom (truly awful game that does not deserve to be in such good company), so how is this game considered Kingdom Under Fire II?
Ah well, at least they are going back to the RTS game style in this new game instead of trying to follow up on the lame 3rd person hack and slash in KUF: COD.

Incredibly nice looking graphics, if the RTS underlying basics are just as well thought out it would be a killer game, otherwise just another good looking pile of crap. I would love to see the original Warcraft re-done with that kind of graphical power.

I greatly enjoyed the small amount of time I spent playing the first Kingdom Under Fire. Maybe it's just me, but the game started to turn sour half-way through the game when it started to get ridiculously hard if you weren't careful in how you leveled up your army.
But perhaps I just sucked at the game.

I have no memory of how I even came across Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders, I think it was a demo disc in some magazine like Wired. Anyways, I found the game strangely compelling. It's just a really awesome mix of strategy and third person action game. It creates a level of complexity that you would not expect and offers a very unique gaming experience, which is something lacking for the vast majority of titles. I am not even a huge video game player, but I am very interested to see what they do with the series.
