Welcome to Morning Hangover -- an excellent way to start your day with the crew at TheFeed...no matter what you're recovering from. Every morning you'll hear musings from our editors and have the chance to share your thoughts on what's going on in the gaming world.

It's usually pretty easy to tell which games are going to slip through the cracks.
Alpha Protocol was going to be one of those games, a game I wanted to play but knew I wouldn't have the time to do so at release. But Sega wisely moved the game out of 2009 and into 2010. As 2009 wraps and the 2010 lineup begins to solidify,, I'm starting to look at what my first Alpha Protocol of 2010 will be. It certainly won't be Mass Effect 2 or BioShock 2, both of which I guarantee will get ample attention, but what about Bayonetta, which I'm only mildly interested in? If Bayonetta was moved out of the increasingly busy January and February period, though...

I am most excited about Bioshock 2. I can't wait for it. Not worried about the delays on the game they are just geting it perfect for everyone.

i can't wait for splintercell and battlefield:bc2, bf will be getting most of my attention because of how much it is gonna dominate and pwn mw2. splintercell is just a whole nother beast in it self.

Alpha Protocol is the only title I have even mild interest in.

All the excitement over sequels...and then we wonder why game makers never take chances with originality. Bayonetta can't come soon enough.

I wouldn't of been in love with action games if it wasn't for DMC. I think Bayonetta will set the same trend but with another name, thus going off of famitsu's 360 perfect score. I think it shouldn't be overlooked if you want an action based fantasy game. I'm just thankful that Mass Effect 2 and BioShock 2 are behind FFXIII. Gives me time to enjoy the games in different months. lol

even if i dont get all the games when they come out or any at all. i will gradually pick them up during the summer.

Or you know, you could just buy a game that came out earlier when you actually have more money and there's nothing coming out.

Speaking of bonehead moves... EA releases Brutal Legend the same week as Uncharted 2. Now Dante's Inferno is set to release on the same day as Bioshock 2... are they trying to shoot themselves in the foot for sales?

Dark Siders, Dantes Inferno and Alpha Protocal.

I actually believe that Bayonetta is releasing at the right time. It will have been over a month since a blockbuster would've been last released (i.e., Assassin's Creed II, Left 4 Dead 2), so I suspect that gamers will be ready for a new challenge come early January. Plus, it'll be weeks ahead of the next big blockbusters in Mass Effect 2, MAG, and Bioshock 2. Honestly, the game I worry will get lost in the cracks is Dante's Inferno. A new IP going day-and-date with Bioshock 2 and arriving just weeks after the other two aforementioned games and weeks before SC: Conviction and Heavy Rain cannot possibly do as well as it could if released in the summertime. Unfortunately, I believe the publisher wants to get it into the marketplace before GOW III so it won't have to be compared to that game.

I'm back and forth with Mass Effect 2...I wanna get my greedy lil hands on it...but considering how I've neglected Borderlands due to CoDMW2...Bioshock 2 might take my focus from ME2...woe is me!!!

I'm buying Mass Effect 2 on 1/26. To have both Bioshock 2 and Dante's Inferno coming out on 2/9 bodes ill for me picking either one up right away due to the fact that I expect to still be playing Mass Effect. And honestly, I'm worries that Bioshock 2 won't deliver. Too many cooks in the kitchen and too many delays already.

A little worried about the 1/5 release date for Darksiders. The game looks great, but it might get passed over due to it just being a little over a week out from Christmas. It's on my list of my haves, but well have to see if it's on day one or not.

Well, I think that any game that is coming out in early January should be pushed back to the end of January or early February. Think about this...a lot of kids just got new games during the Christmas holiday! Parents are going to be less enthusiastic to buy a new game just a week or two after their kids just received new games for Christmas. This also plays into those who spent a lot of money during the holiday and are now paying back their credit cards or a now in the \"No Money After Christmas\" time frame that I am usually in till about the end of January. Another thing to think about is TAX SEASON! Come on! A lot of people will get some sort of tax refund and will have more than enough money to buy a new game, or two, or three, etc. If anything, I might try to get one of the new games coming out in early January through Gamefly or something, but I highly doubt that I will be buying one...unless I play my card right.
