The date has been set. The premiere of American Ninja Warrior is Saturday, December 12. Hosted by G4's Blair Herter and Allison Haislip, American Ninja Warrior's debut will consist of a two action-packed hours on both December 12 and December 19 from 6:00-8:00pm ET/PT.
Ninja Warrior premiered on G4 back in 2006, but American Ninja Warrior represents the first time this many Americans have had a chance to tackle the infamous obstacle course, Mount Midoriyama. Contestants range from a deputy DA, a member of the National Guard and one fan so passionate he actually convinced his local radio station to fly him to Los Angeles to compete.
Make sure to join Blair and Allison as they watch 30 contestants try to become the first American Ninja Warrior. Remember, American Ninja Warrior premieres on Saturday, December 12 and continues the following Saturday, December 19, from 6:00-8:00pm ET/PT.

Now I'm wondering if they are sending any to Sasuke 24.. funny how Sasuke 23 was hailed as the most Americans and now we are reverting to ZERO Americans.. /sigh G4 I keep banging my head on the wall.. so hard to figure out wtf is going on over there. I'm sure people would give up their left nut to be on the show and pay their way to Japan without G4's help.

LOL yeah they changed it :p I guess it frustrates me when there's revisionist history involved. Glad it was a typo... Still waiting to hear when they plan to show the actual tournament Sasuke 23.. at this rate it won't be until summer when they show Sasuke 24..

They must of fixed it, it says the first time \"this many\" Americans have went. And hey I'm mentioned in the write up! Hahahah, go Guard! Jeeze 4 hours of ANW, gonna be crazy. This probably means just as long for Sasuke 24 hopefully anyway.
Oh and Johnny, having this show come on once every 6 months isn't hurting Xplay which shows every night. Expand your viewing horizon buddy, you might actually like the show.

Btw.. ANW does not represent the first time Americans went to compete on Sasuke. In fact ANW happened in California.. not Japan.. so whoever is doing the writing needs to get updated as to what actually happened :p The 4 previous ANC competitions had champions that went on Sasuke beforehand..

What the heck does this or Cops or Cheaters or any of the other filler shows have to do with video gaming or even technology in general? My viewing time on G4$ has dramatically declined over the last year or two because there simply isn't anything left for me except Xplay (and occasionally AOTS). Bring back the tech related programming (please). G$4 is quickly becoming just another cable channel with old or mediocre syndicated programming (isn't that market over-saturated enough as it is?).

Will Sasuke 23 even be aired this year? Any idea when the actual tournament will be shown?
