Just Cause 2

Open-world action game Just Cause 2  will be available for purchase on March 23rd, 2010, in North America.

We've been holding our breath for a long time for Just Cause 2; originally, the game was announced for a Christmas 2008 release. Judging from what Square Enix says, it will be worth the added wait. Just Cause 2 features over 1000Km (400miles) of South East Asian island landscape in "one of the richest, most realistic game worlds ever seen." Terrain includes snow-capped mountains, beaches, dense jungle and arid deserts.

Now as long as there's a great game that takes place in all that open-world space, we're all set. I don't know about you, but I would rather play a game that takes place in a "linear world" but has an awesome story and exciting gameplay than play a game with minimal story but a huge map.

Of course, in a perfect game, a big, interesting map and exciting story co-exist in awesomeness-- Fallout 3  did it perfectly -- so let's hope Just Cause 2 can hit that sweet spot.

I'm looking forward to what this game has to offer. I played the first one and it felt a little limited and rushed but at the same time showing a world of potential. From what I've seen, Just Cause 2 has a large open world with plenty to do, so it's on my radar too.

From the dev diaries I've seen, I'd say this game looks really good. It appears to demo well, but we'll have to see how it plays in the final build. It's definitely on my radar and I think it would be a little ignorant to dismiss it on the pretense that the first one wasn't AAA.

ok we all know this game is gonna get like a 3 out of 5, so it will be mediocre among critics. I loved the first one and I'm sure the second will be even more fun. They can only get better. Plus it comes out a day after my 17th birthday so it will be my first M game I buy "legally" psh whatever that means.

Just Cause did an ecellent job of really making you feel like a spec ops guy. It was a game that was cool to take seriuosly, and fun to use your imagination and just have fun. I hope the second builds on that.
