Adon, Cody And Guy To Appear In Super Street Fighter IV

Final Fight  and Street Fighter Alpha fans will be pleased to hear that Cody, Adon and Guy will all be appearing in Capcom’s expanded and improved Super Street Fighter IV. The news comes via some scans from Japanese gaming mag Famitsu (via Event Hubs), which also confirms that the characters are in full Street Fighter Alpha mode.

As some keen-eyed observers have noticed, one of the scans features Guy defending himself against a kunai, which I know I don’t have to remind you is the weapon of choice of Street Fighter III’s Ibuki. While Ibuki isn’t mentioned, it’s a pretty good bet that she will also be making an appearance in the new game.

Are you particularly excited about any of these characters showing up in SSFFIV?

O.K. All the additions so far are great but I think we need some Street Fighter III love

Alex, Elena and Ibuki should definately be in the game

    Optional characters should be
Duddley, Necro, Sean, Hugo or Oro

SF4 was good, but like the first of every new iteration, it will have some things wrong that need patting out, but don't be so quick to dis THAWK and DeeJay because I know Fuile players who plan on leaving him for those two, and Guile is good as is. Besides, they said at least 8, but not leaving out the possibility of more. Whatever they can get done during the remaining development time will make it that much better, and what doesn't make it gets cut. So if dev time allows for more than 8, they will try, but that's orginally how THawk and DeeJay were cut, because they couldn't be finished before launch.

    Hello Ninja, Hello Logan

Nice posts! I think the game should be called (Street fighter Krypton) and should be filled with DLC. Matter of fact the Capcom dev team should just stop production and offer all of this new content as down graded DLC with cardboard cut out as new characters. They could offer 612 different crap packs of DLC each one would cost 4000 microsoft points and every other one could be another punch or kick for your cardboard character.

Then after you have spent 12,000 dollars you would have the complete game. To make sure there is never another game made Capcom could have mass suicide day. That's where all the Capcom staff would take there own life so that Krypton would never have to pay for a new game.

I think the price of the game should be switched to "i like turtles! Pee pee dumb". (that was translated for some of you) Because i have had absolutely nothing to do with the development of the game, nor do i have any idea how much work or money Capcom has spent on the game. Plus being the consumer i get to name the fair price that everything should be released at. and i will complain when they tell me how much they are going to charge for their game. (is that even allowed? they get to decide how much to charge for the game they created?) i am pretty sure i can get krypton to agree with me. it seems reasonable i mean clearly Capcom is forcing everyone to buy this game. I have heard they have a remote control at Capcom headquarters that can make all the old SFIV games explode while in your console if you don't buy SSFIV with in 1 month of its release. true story.

Look, its not like they intend redo this every year or so, but SF4 was a new step up for the Street Fighter series, and you will inevitably have things that players will discover, and there will be problems that need to be addressed, and in this generation of gaming, where games are infinitely more complex than their sega genesis counterparts, gameplay problems are bound to happen. I'd say it is impossible to nail it just right the first time, but even Capcom sees that it isn't practicle now to just rehash a game every few seasons, but this is one update that needed to be done RIGHT, and by that, on a new disc.

At any rate, gameplay moderations will probably continue through the course of the game to provide the best play experience for the fans, and as such future updates can be limited to patches and updates.

I agree with Krypton. The game should be $19.99 that way maybe Capcom will have to fire some of their employees, and then maybe that will make sure they can only make one game a year, and then maybe they won't be able to make any Street Fighter games at all! I'm sure Krypton thinks all games should be free. What a novel concept. Why does anybody charge money for anything? If you want everything for free, please move to China and let me know how that works out.

Guy was awesome in the Alpha series and Adon is a good choice however I would have rather seen Birdie or Charlie.

Ok this just in Kypton your a freaking idiot. I now know 100% that you are a retard. Change your avatar to Gumo and call it a day. To all the peeps complaining about the rehash of games over and over it has been Capcom's bag all the way back to the early arcade days. The repeat rehash and release over and over again. That's why there was 126 different versions of street fighter 2. Krypton let me translate for you. DUhhh DuHHH DUh I like turtles! oooohhh pee pee dumb, dumbest, dumberly, Crack cocaine duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Poptarts and uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I just filled my pants with premium pudding! You should be able to understand that price point.

First, I pay (I think) $80.00 for SFIV!... At least the bonuses were worth it. Cool movie, cool figure...
Then, pay (I think) $90.00 for RE5!!... Bonus content... Kinda disappointing... Figure, not as cool. And a messenger bag?! What was the point of that?!
I know... I know... My fault for falling into the "collector's trap"... But they make em so darn shiny!
But now, I find out BOTH are getting re-released?!! I'm sorry... I can't help feeling like I've been ripped off!
If Capcom pulls this crap with Dark Void, I am done!!

I see everyone's point with SFIV updates being too much for DLC to handle... But come on! How long has Capcom been making Street Fighter games? They still can't get it right the first time?!

Despite my ranting, I like what I've been hearing/reading, and will probably buy SFIV AGAIN anyway...
And though I don't know much about RE5's re-release yet, rumor is (as I've heard) that it's being redone to be compatible with PS3's motion controller... Which is freakin sweet!!

I haven't played SFIV yet so I'm definitely picking SSFIV instead regardless of price.

I am excited. Someone at another site suggested that Capcom should implement a dlc system to acquire more characters. Hopefully SSFIV can support constant dlc, and we do not have to buy another version of Street Fighter IV in 18 months.

I think whether the price is acceptable or not depends largely on how deep someone is into the Street Fighter Scene. $40 doesnt seem to bad to me since I'm an avid player and I know how much of a difference tweaks like adding new ultras and changing the priorities of some moves can make (not to mention new characters and whatnot), but as far as an occasional player is concerned it probably isn't worth it.

If they have as many versions of Street Fighter 4 as they did with Street Fighter 2, it will get pricey to keep up with all of them. Discount or no
