In the middle of writing up a story about superannuation discovering an early video for the currently unannounced follow-up to Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, Electronic Arts decided to make the whole situation official. Mercs Inc, which EA says is very much a working title for the project, is currently in the early stages of development at Pandemic's "new home" within EALA.
Mercs Inc will be the first Pandemic-branded game from EA following Pandemic's official dissolution. It will be produced internally at EA but carry the Pandemic branding.
EA released no details on Mercs Inc, but the leaked video suggested the next game would adopt a focus on cooperative and competitive multiplayer amongst more than two players.
It's currently unknown how many of the original Mercenaries team are on this project.

Mercenaries 2 was a huge letdown after the fantastic Playground of Destruction. As long as they put in the team that did the first I'll be satisfied but if they just make a Mercs 2.1 I'll be pissed.

looks better then mercs 2...but not dissing mercs 2 but wasnt that fun after bout 2 hours or so unlike mercs 1

Sounds like EA is taking the reigns this time. They've had a pretty good track record as of late so I have my hopes up. I just hope they don't nuke the fridge (no pun intended) (Mercenaries joke).

doesnt look much different in terms of graphics and gameplay then M2:WIF
obviously i cant judge just from that, but like u guys said if it doesnt step it up from the last mercs then it will be a no buy for me

Mercenaries: world in flames was one of the worst games I had ever played... they better step their game up on this next one

Yes i saw the demo, and wanted it to be official but heard rumors that it was cancled, so its good its coming out
