Man Arrested For Not Tweeting

Police in Garden City, NJ apparently arrested a man this weekend for not sending a tweet.

It all started at The Roosevelt Mall on Long Island, where teen singing sensation Justin Bieber was apparently scheduled to appear. Over 3,000 fans jammed into the shopping center and began chanting and yelling and carrying on. It looked like this:

The cops apparently asked James Roppo, a senior vice president of Island Def Jam Records, to send a tweet letting the fans know that the singer wouldn't show. He apparently failed to tweet and was cited for“endangering the welfare of a minor and obstructing government administration."

Bieber, who got his start after being discovered on YouTube, did tell his fans to go home via twitter, but apparently it didn't work.

If this near riot and the recent box office success of Twilight: New Moon has taught us anything, it's taught us that teenage girls are terrifying when gathered in groups. I suggest we all stay in our homes and play video games so they don't bother us! Trust me, it'll work.

In a related story, I recently tweeted about a personal appearance I made at a local discount t-shirt store (5 shirts for $3!); I was greeted by a surly dock-worker and a smelly girl who cuts her own hair as opposed to thousands of screaming fans. There must be something wrong with my internet.

I'm 14 and I've been in one of these Demonic like gathering of teenage girls. Last Thursday night I had to stand in line with my GF for 3 1/2 hours just to see NEW MOON.(Her payback for the MW2 release). Well I wanted to shoot myself over the arguments of Team Jacob and Lautner. If my buddy wasn't there with his GF i would have commited suicide.

Who booked him for that mall anyway? It seems like there's way too little room for that many fans. And they would've been expecting them, right?

Yah, forget zombies. Teenage girls will tear you limb from limb, and then shred those limbs into pieces to take home with them.

Anyway, Roppo should have sent the tweet - mob trampling is no laughing matter. However, seeing as Beiber sent one and nothing happened really happened, I doubt the one by the senior vice president of Island Def Jam Records would have mattered (read: the girls probably follow Justin more than James).

On a related note, 5 for $3?! Woah!!

And here I was thinking that zombies were the ultimate danger to society. Put these girls into the Left 4 Dead 2 mall campaign...the game just got 50 times more scary

God.. this idiotic herd-mentality and practical worship of entertainers makes me want to wish the human race would be wiped out by a giant asteroid. Seriously.. look at those people... cattle... sheep... that's all they are. It's pathetic.

these girls are just un-freakin believable just to see 1 person who probably already has a girlfriend or probably just acloset case homosexual just like adam lambert ........ So I guess what i'm trying to say is " little girls this kid is out of pretty much all 3000 of your leagues so you could all calm the heck down and go home just like that guy said over the loud speaker".......... get over yourselves like really i haven't seen such a monstrous crowd of little girls making it seem like the 2009 version of the 1968 chicago riots. Really grow some damn dignity for a change i mean if you want to see him that bad follow his ass on twitter or somethin and get a real damn life and stop acting like a nut over a person that you're never gonna meet..... EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

if im not mistaking and hes that lil kid Mtv likes to sweat and dresses punkish/skater like he CAN NOT sing his voice is dull and boring. i guarantee Simon would make fun of him and say what i feel HE CAN NOT SING. is this what music taking a turn too? honestly i wouldnt be surprise if people start to notice it (after the little girls stop yelling) and drop him.

the guy isn't OBLIGATED to tweet. he didn't do anything wrong. i wish there were more smart people that went into law enforcement, but that's rare cuz if you're smart you wont go into that field.
