Our resident multiplayer madman Brian Leahy recently sunk some time into DICE’s PlayStation 3 exclusive beta for next year’s Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and while he could have just kept his impressions of the game to himself, he decided to share his thoughts with you. Aren’t you special?
Here's a tasty snippet:
“I couldn’t stand Battlefield: Bad Company. The entire multiplayer experience, to me, felt sluggish and unsatisfying. I’ve always loved the Battlefield games, but I just couldn’t get into BF:BC. This is not the case with the sequel. After a few hours in the beta, I’m putting this on my watch list for 2010.”

I think that it is the best online shooter I have played it is super intense. And is more realistic and a lot harder than COD so it is more hardcore. I love how much it encourages you to play in a squad

i like the beta the only promblem i got id the snipers which only have one zoom in option

i disagree completely, i loved the first one everything about it got me hooked that whole summer i stayed up all night sometimes til day playing, but i have to say the beta is quite a dissappointment, i couldnt stay on for more than an hour

If your referring to the sniper not being like MW2 then i couldn't disagree more, It should take time and skill to get decent at sniping, which is how the game is, i know you have to lead your targets much more than MW2, and that's how it should be. In real life, bullets aren't lasers

My only complaint is that only 24 people can play at once....considering how big the battlefields are and people also use the tanks and vehicles. 32 would have been better, but maybe not all consoles can handle that. The sniper needs improvement also...Other than that the beta is great..

This game is crap. Its way too sluggish. Not fun at all. Well I guess the vehicles are, but its still way to slow paced.

its really great,i've stayed up playing til 3 to. Theres alot of bugs that need fixing but thats why its a beta!

i absolutely love this game so far. In the 3 sessions i was able to play the beta I was up untill 3 am once, and 5 am twice--and i've never been sucked into a multiplayer shooter like that. just awesome.
