Dragon Age: Origins fans will soon be getting even more DLC love for their acclaimed fantasy RPG. BioWare has announced that it will be releasing “Return to Ostagar” this holiday, making it the third DLC offering since the game was released earlier this month.
Here’s what you can expect from the upcoming DLC pack:
“'Return to Ostagar' allows players to exact their revenge and embark on a quest for the mighty arms and armor of the once great King Cailan when they revisit Ostagar, the site of the Grey Wardens’ darkest hour, to reclaim the honor and learn the secrets of Ferelden’s fallen king.”
BioWare's Dr. Ray Muzyka said in a statement, “‘The Return to Ostagar' DLC pack is a prime example of BioWare’s commitment to give fans a game that continuously offers new experiences and further enriches a storyline that has already received critical acclaim and positive feedback from the players.”
The pack will run you $4.99 on the PlayStation 3, 400 BioWare points on the PC and 400 Microsoft Points for the Xbox 360.
Did you pick up the first two DLC packs? What did you think of them? Were they worth the price?

I'm not done with the game yet (almost, but not quite), but my concern is that they don't go the way of Mass Effect's first DLC you had to reload a save from before the end of the game to take advantage of the new planet. Anytime you release DLC a while after the game, I guess that's going to be an issue (especially if some of the party members are gone or dead after the last battle), so maybe I'm in the minority. But I like the idea of DLC extending the game (not only just "enriching" the game).

The stone prisoner actually has TWO quests, that come with the DLC (don't believe me check your achievos) and is only available after you complete 'the paragon of her kind' quest in the dwarf city of Ozammar.

First 2? Wardens Keep is really the ONLY DLC add on.. The STone Golem really wasnt a real DLC. It was another char with a 2 sec story

I <3 Shale and his banter with my other party members

I got the other DLCs at launch and I love them. The Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep are great as posted above short but the golem is one of my big boss fighters. I buff up his stats with spells and watch him knock baddies down.

Anybody else think that Shale is a direct ripoff of HK-47?

They close off the game when you beat it so that you can't finish any more quests. That makes all new DLC pointless. If ALL you can do is DLC quests, what is the point? What need do I have for new armor? I'd get it at the end of the new DLC and then have no time to use it.

Quick Question, How do you get to DLC. Is there like someone to talk to and it starts?

I got the Stone Prisoner pack with mine and even though it was short I still think the character Shale is a great addition to the game and is now one of my favorite characters.

Too true, Nikole. :) The past 3 months were a drain on the wallet.

Also, yes, I do plan on getting the DLC but I'm gonna wait for December game drought to get it.

I've got Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep and they are both great. Stone Prisoner wasn't long, but you DO get a new character in your party for the rest of the game, so that's worth it. Warden's Keep was pretty fun and like TheSiwentKiwwah said, you get cool swag from it. I can't wait for a little more Dragon Age!

SIDE BOOB!

I haven't downloaded the Warden's Keep one, but I'm definitely going to, along with this new one.

Both the DLC packs were cool. The Stone Prisioner was really fun but not very long. I think it was only so expensive so you'd preorder it. Wardens Keep was cool. You get awesome armour and a really useful storage chest

Stone Prisoner came with my copy for free, so yeah, it was worth the price. I thought that The Warden Keep was decent, but a bit expensive. 400 MS points for the new DLC sounds pretty fair though.
