The premise of THQ's early 2010 action game Darksiders -- which follows the quest of War, one of the four hoursemen of the apocalypse -- sounds like the setup for a comic book. So it's not shocking THQ and Vigil Games brought in comic writer and artist Joe Madureira to work as creative director on Darksiders. Listen to Madureira talk about his involvement with Darksiders by clicking the play button.

Getting this in January for sure. Art style looks amazing, and the gameplay looks solid. Can't wait. Have a lot of games to hold me over though, so I am good with that.

Game looks amazing but I got some really epic ideas how do I become a creative director of a video game company?

Looks awesome but new franchises don't seem to be doing well lately. So even if it is a great game I wonder how well it is going to sell. Honestly I would have picked a better launch date...1/5/2010...right after Christmas? Releasing a new IP right after the holiday season seams like a FAIL idea to me. But whatever it looks awesome so I hope it does well.

Mmmm.....
I wonder why I'm so apocalyptic sometimes, and then stuff like this goes and explains it. The Apocalypse/Ragnarok/End Times is just total badassery to watch/play no matter what form it comes in. Be it zombies, robots, angels and demons, Gtterdmmerung or whatever.
There's a couple issues I have with the character designs, but mostly this game just looks utterly cool.
Still wish they kept the original title. "Darksiders: Wrath Of War" sounds better than just "Darksiders" IMO.

Darksiders looks more amazing every time I see footage of it. I will get this game when it comes out.
