SPOILER ALERT!!! Rockstar Games will soon start developing another Grand Theft Auto game! I know you were (not) worried about Rockstar abandoning its most cherished and profitable franchise, but worry no more.
During an interview with British publication the Times Online, Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser confirmed that his team of mad geniuses will soon start work proper on the next GTA, to absolutely no one’s surprise.
“We’ll think of a city first, then the characters,” Houser said, before explaining that the script for the game will come in at around 1,000 pages.
As for the game’s setting, that will continue to be teased and speculated about for many months to come. The front runner at this point is Vice City, thanks to an ad spotted in the manual for GTA: Episodes from Liberty City, but until we hear something official, refrain from placing any bets.

i think they should go to san adreas again and they should let us get on a plane to liberty city and vice city and i loved the way they let you customise san andreas why not do that on them all it would be great if they put crazy amounts of guns and why not modifications for them to like silencers laser sights etc every body would love that plus going in more buildings would be cooler to i dont its somthing to think about

I got it! Yes! It makes perfect sense. For this Gen of Grand Theft Autos they'll make a main game and two downloadables for each city. Next is Vice and after that we go to my favorite game of all time's setting. SAN ANDREAS.

I dont know why people keep saying london and tokyo. theyve done london already and, it would be wierd for them to speak english in japan, and if they spoke japanese, no one would feel like reading. i would like Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, and New Orleans. Millions of stories could go with that. The hurricanes which made louisiana evacuees go to Texas, Mexican drug cartels in Texas, drug cartels in New Orleans, and all of the cities' crime rates are pretty bad, so... think about it. And look at the skylines for all of the cities at night... BEAUTIFUL, RIGHT?

I want a game without 9GB standard space limitations, make GTA 5 or next title on PS3. Before freaking out on my idea just think the amount of content a dual-layered blu-ray(50GB) could store. Don't find Multi-plat the answer for any modern sandbox game like its self. I guarantee there will never be a game as vast as San Andreas on any other console other then PC that has good graphics,features,customizatio n,actual garages to store vehicles/property to buy,casinos,airplanes/jets,Ton s of Vehicles & longevity ect. GTA 4 lacked everything i expected from the crew at rockstar. I was brainwashed by trailers that made it look sick & was left in a daze. The episodes from Liberty city for 360 didn't give it any justice made it even more ridiculous especially with not following the original storyline.

It's gonna be in Vice City again. It's obvious cause they added Vice City FM to Episodes From Liberty City and the ripped corner of the advertisement looks like a beach. I find it hilarious how so many people on here are fooled by R*. This game is nearly complete with the 1st trailer coming in March.

I'd like to see a setting in savanna, Ga. That has real potential. With the city, famous downtown, and small islands, it could be the best gta yet.I was stationed at Fort Stewart Ga, just a 20 minute drive from savanna. Trust me, the city has potential.Also with the ocean right there, it adds more than just city play.

well i will wait for a while after to buy this game seeing as they only choose to put the GTA4 DLC out only for xbox360 if they do that again i will just rent the game cause after i beat it i probably wont think of playing it again

gta borderlines go from across the border and back again smuggling drugs fighting cops and enemy cartels take this through more than one perspective through california to Texas from one side of the story be a cop who goes under cover who has to decide between his prfession or his family or a drug cartel being initiated into the gang and does what ever to prove to the gang he can survive so that he can protect his family then mayb take it down to the drug producers and they're look outs in countries in south america cuba and peurto rico

how about gta london. They seem to be following a pattern of bringing back they stuff from the original games. 3, liberty city, vice city, san andreas, all they are missing is london.

of corse all the foreigners want 2 c gta go foreign, but in reality those are also the peeps watching american movies, listening to american music, and trying to be like us , ROCKSTAR STICK WITH AMERICA, F THOSE OTHER SOFT COUNTRIES those foreigners r softer then us, they would never survive in our hoods, or our prison system, and gta is about being hard........................do nt mean to sound so mean towards foreigners, but their jealousy towards us has them always putting us down so f them!!!!!!!

who would want to play gta in a foregn country, stick with america rockstar, where the most violent, trend setting, up to date country that every other country wishes they were like. who the hell would play gta japan, they cant even win in the ufc. who would play gta europe, there like ten years behind us......
rockstar theres lots of cities in america do do a new gta in like detroit, or just bring it back to cali, but please dont go foriegn, you will ruin the series.

I think it would be the best if they would make a new GTA but get the freak out of the USA im tired of walking in america.... Ther is a whole bunch of other places u could create a story board like Germany, England (maybe), Japan, get the facts wright WE WANT OUT!!!!

I've said it before, but here it goes again: I would love to see GTA in London or Hong Kong. What I would not like to see is a city where english is not the native language (or one where few people speak it well enough). Unless, of course, they're making a foreign language game. I would hate to see a Tokyo setting where everybody, all of the sudden, speaks perfect english. Keep in mind that in Liberty City, many languages are spoken. Let's not ruin that aspect of the game

Follow suite with the new GTA by incorporating co-op into the story; full co-op! Also, beef up the multilayer a little more. I disliked several aspects of the multilayer in GTA IV. Weapon placing, etc.
