We’ve already seen one of next year’s major games get a release date today, and if sources close to MCVUK are to be believed, we can now tentatively mark our calendars with regards to another über-anticipated title coming next year.
According to inside sources, Finnish developer Remedy's long awaited psychological thriller Alan Wake will finally be hitting shelves sometime in May 2010. Additionally, Microsoft is expected to promote the game “in the style of a Hollywood movie.”
Obviously, this info will remain unofficial until Microsoft and Remedy decide to provide 100 percent authentic details about when gamers will finally be able to get their hands on the game that has been "almost here" for (seemingly) a decade. I'm currently waiting to hear back from Microsoft, so I'll let you know if I hear anything.

i have been following this game very little since it was announced back in 2006(i think) when the E3 game play it looked really cool but i hope this game is worth the wait

Finally! I'm a huge fan of Remedy, so I've been waiting for this. Having a release date (even if it is unconfirmed) now makes the waiting a bit easier.
