Madden NFL Arcade

Nothing goes with Thanksgiving like a hot cup of football, so EA has chosen the holiday week to make Madden NFL Arcade available for download on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. You'll be able to tuck in to the more casual Madden on Tuesday, November 24 on PSN, and Wednesday, November 25 on the Xbox. It will cost you $14.99 on the PSN and 1200 Microsoft Points Xbox Live.

Madden NFL Arcade takes the top five players from each team's offense and defense and drops them on the field to fight it out for football glory. To keep things light-hearted, power-ups and abilities are added to the grid-iron mix -- sports sim purists, this is not the game you're looking for. Four-player co-op and online games are supported as well.

I still think it should have been a bonus on the Madden 10 disc.

Did all you people lament over NHL Arcade 3 vs. 3 when it was announced? Because this is the same thing with a different sport. It's not a "Madden Game", it's an arcade football game.

Because it's got Madden's big fat name on it, you cry. If it was called "NFL JAM Tournament Edition", you'd all be dancing in your football helmets.

Great, another Madden game for the media to fawn over even though it will stink like all other Maddens. G4 and the rest of the gaming media have no shame. They just love inconsistant frame rate and slow play control in sports games. If it was any other game it would get a 1 out of 5, if even that much.

No shame, no shame at all.

I can't wait for the NFL 2k series to make a comeback, best football games ever. Though I scored Madden 09 with a strategy guide for a mere 17 bucks, I feel that i made a mistake.

I can't wait to be disappointed by this. I'll download it expecting Blitz, and then probably cry while thinking of fond memories of Midway games at the arcade.

Is it gonna suck like every other Madden game has the past couple of years?
