I am going to give you three guesses what the Feedback Game of the Week is. Go on. Guess. (No looking at the post title.)

...

...nope.

...

...Buzz Quiz World is neat, but no.

...

...Diablo 3's not out yet, buddy.

It's...ta-da, Modern Warfare 2. We've got five on it with Adam, Patrick, Abbie, Brian, and Matt to talk about the game from beginning to end...less multiplayer. If you love the Call of Duty, this is the show for you. (There are spoilers, but not of the end.) If you've got coverage fatigue, don't worry, the week is almost over!

Hit Tab to See Secondary Show Objectives:

  • Massive layoffs happened this week at Electronic Arts. Our best to those affected.
  • Dead Space: Extraction was great, but did moving it to the Wii hurt the franchise?
  • EA franchises are going to get seriously looked at next year, like Medal of Honor and Need for Speed. Is that a wise strategy?
  • The rumor is that Project Natal will range between $50 and $80, with 13-15 games at launch. Does this make you swing your arms in approval? And isn't it a bit ridiculous that, if the rumor pans out, Natal will be cheaper than the wi-fi adapter?
  • Is it okay for a game to be short if there's no filler?
  • How did you approach "No Russian?" If you opened fire, why? And how do you define "enjoyment" when it comes to games?

Solo Campaign was way too short, and the storyline didn't really follow along. It just setup for Modern Warfare 3. This game was WEAK compared to Modern Warfare 1. There was a couple cool objectives, but they were so short. I wouldn't buy this game if you haven't already. Just rent it or borrow it from a friend for a night. You can beat it in a couple hours easily.

-- More Drone or C130 scenes please.

I hope EA restructuring means that they wont destroy Command and Conquer 4! Hell, it is one of the few PC games out there worth looking forward to. Activison has shown me the light. PC Gamers are a dying breed and are going the way of the Dinosaur. We need to realize that the gaming community has moved on without us and either learn to adapt or learn not to have game companies cater to us anymore.

Few major news organizations realize that Modern Warfare 2 is doing badly on the PC side. The XBOX360 sales alone is enough to make some companies giddy with excitement. PlayStation 3 users should be careful. The next Modern Warfare game may leave them out of the cold and this game easily become a XBOX360 only game. Imagine Modern Warfare 3 did not have any PS3 versions or PC versions and did well....

I thought Matt had a really good point, when he said that what if the Russian Soldiers had their own virtual family that they were called away from to fight in a war that was fabricated to avenge one man's predecessor. That thought can and did make the "No Russian" sequence less of a "wow" factor. Also if Modern Warfare 2 had extended the campaign longer then what it was it would have lost steam in in the story department so the 5-8 hrs. i spent on my first play through was good I'm gonna go back and play on hardened, goood story. With MW2 AND U2(Uncharted 2) I'm happy.

Five hour storyline, altered perks, some new perks, weapons and some minor changes here and there all for $60.00 ? I'm sure alot like the game but this game is way overpriced. Funny how none of them talked about the loss of dedicated srvers and how bad the pc version is compared to the console version of MW2.

My brother watched me play MW2, and the length was perfect for that.

great show, its actually kinda funny, when i got to the airport sequence, i had reservations and purposely aimed above the crowd and sort of outlined the civilians so i wouldn't get caught and wouldn't kill innocent people....

but that one dude, forgot your name man but he said they copped out once the police came, i don't entirely agree with that, because the AI does still help you a little bit so with the introduction of the shield i found it perfect. You got no protection when u don't need it against the civilians if u want to take the high road, but then when your faced with an actual threat, they introduce the shield, so u can then knock them down or avoid them all together... I'm pretty sure that's why the shield was introduced there, but i can't exactly read infinity wards' mind...

Best game this gen, I'm loving every digital inch of that game and so glad psn is up and running, because like Abby (don't know why i remembered your name ;) been playing it since launch, outside of class and work.

I don't think Brutal Legend is an RTS at all.

I can see why REVIEWERS perceive Brutal Legend to be an RTS. There are a lot side missions, none of which have anything to do with RTS. There's also a lot of exploration. When you take out those elements and blow through the (short) campaign, the stage battles may stick out as a bigger portion of the game than they were. Because a reviewer generally has an arbitrary goal of finishing a game quickly to review it, it shifts their focus in a way that differs from the average consumer.

When all you're thinking is "let's get a bunch of guys, and if enemies show up, throw our guys at their guys", that's not "strategy". There was only one battle in the game where my "strategy" had to be more in-depth than that.

It's like calling Half-Life 2 a tactical shooter because you have "go there" and "stay here" buttons for a squad. It's misrepresenting what it is.

After playing Brutal Legend, I remember killing a lot of dudes with a badass axe, melting their faces with guitar solos, and listening to a lot of awesome metal tunes.

I like the comment about the controls for MW2, after being super addicted to MW1 for so long I change the controls for every FPS now to be the same layout as MW

Interesting discussion re: Modern Warfare 2. I'd only add that *every* segment of the single-player campaign rests upon murky moral choices, not just "No Russian". Imagine that, a title about modern warfare that shows that the definitions of "good guys"and "bad guys" is dubious at best. Shocking.

Adam - I didn't hear any Obsucre Reference bings.

Matt - Dude, you summed up exactly what I was thinking regarding the game in the "Russian Soldier" speech. It was perfect.

Abbie - *in my best Ron Burgandy voice* I... wanttobeonyou.
