Nathan Drake's going to have better luck at retail the second time around, it seems. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has already sold over a million copies. Sony Computer Entertainment America's senior VP of business development Phil Rosenberg announced the news just a little while ago at the BMO Capital Markets "Digital Entertainment Conference" in New York.
"As of last week, we've already sold over a million copies [of Uncharted 2] in just a couple weeks on the market," said Rosenberg.
Naughty Dog is currently working on downloadable content for Uncharted 2, but the studio hasn't announced what exactly they have in the works. More single-player, please!

Uncharted 2 is arguably one of the greatest single player campaign ever. The story, delivery, graphics, voice acting, etc., etc. is amazing. The multiplayer is a fully fleshed out mode that has the chance for some great DLC and more co-op modes as well. Now, I am an owner of all systems out there (360, PS3, wii, PSP, DS) and I think the thing everyone misses is that it is a great time to be a gamer. Stop being consumed by which system, just enjoy the onslaught of amazing games from ODST, Uncharted2, GOW collection (then GOW3!) ME2, New Super Mario Bros, AC2, Forza, GT5, Alpha Prot,Heavy Rain, ...OMG too many to mention. Spend more time talking about how exciting a time it is instead of getting in system flame wars. I don't think anyone can go wrong with any system (although as a gamer from the time of pong I have to say anyone that can afford it should get a PS3 AND a 360)

This and MGS4 would be the reason I'd want a PS3.
And of note, I went through all the post and thumbs downed all of the ones with the word 'Fanboy' or 'Groupie' in them. If you're more interested in what system you have over what you're actually playing, then you're not a gamer.

U2 is a good game. A bit repetitive (Climb,shoot, repeat), but it has shiney grafics.

I mean its good but not great. BTW GOTY 2009 passed people. We are going into 2010 and frankly Uncharted 2 wont win. I mean come on next year will be God of War 3, MAG, Gran Tursimo 5 and more plus this year Assassins Creed 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Halo 3 ODST (Yes i know another Halo. Its still gonna be there), Forza 3, and tons more. GOTY for me is Multiplayer, Single Player and extra features. Halo 3 ODST has great multiplayer and extras like firefight. CODMW2 (talk about it too much but it lived to the hype in my opinion.(Unlike Killzone 2.) Uncharted 2 has a great caimpagn but i dont like the online. Its just meh. Its gonna be between Forza 3 and Gt5 in best racer. For best shooter: Left 4 Dead 2,Halo 3 ODST and MW2. In GOTY: God of War 3, Uncharted 2, Call of Duty MW2, MAG and Splinter Cell Conviction (If it comes out early next year.) and if Mass Effect 2 comes out. Its gonna be tough. But MW2 is my chouce as of now next to MAG.

well as far as I can tell with GOTY it's Uncharted Vs Modern Warfare. Then again Assassins Creed also has a chance, but only time will tell

im gonna go ahead and be a fanboy even though i hate seeing stupid arguments here.. but that number looks WEAK.. but i think it looks weak cause im used to seeing Huge #'s for my 360 games

Actually the really story is why don't people get excited about PS3 games? Is it lack of advertising or what? The last playstation game I bought was FFVII, when I saw the commerical I had to have that game, even though I didn't have a playstation and thought that the 3D graphics where horrible compared to my N64. That commerical just had me hooked, it was all I could think about.
Maybe sony needs to start trying to sell the games instead of the machine. "It only does everything" doesn't mean jack to me. I want to know what I am going to stay up until 7am playing.
I don't remeber seeing a single uncharted ad when it game out, on the other hand I saw that freaking awsome live action ad for ODST two or three times a day.
This leads to a trend that I have notices, PS3 owners praise their machine, while Xbox owners talk about game. Well, its the games we play, not the console.
To use an analogy, sony tries to sell the road, Microsoft tries to sells the car. While both are needed to drive which is more fun to own?

I own both a ps3 and 360. To compare ODST with Uncharted 2 isnt even fare to ODST. ODST was a good game but Uncharted 2 was on a whole other level. If it wasnt for MW2 just coming out I would be still playing Uncharted 2. Uncharted 2 is a game you hold on to until something better that is similar comes out. Nothing on the horizon isnt even close
