Modern Warfare 2 this and Modern Warfare 2 that. The game has only been out for a day or so, and I'm already starting to get tired of hearing about the thing. Instead, I'm going to focus on Halo. Specifically, the fact that an internet job posting has revealed that 343 Industries is looking for experienced people to work on a Halo game. Check it out:
"343 Industries, Microsoft's internal Halo studio, is looking for an experienced Level Designer who can design and build levels for our next big project. We are looking for an agile and collaborative individual who has a passion for games, Halo, and trying new things. This is your chance to join one of the most talented teams in the industry!
So, does that sound like you? Are you an experienced Level Designer? Now is your time to shine and get that new job, buddy.
Of course, a "Halo" game could mean a lot of things. It could be that Master Chief golf game we've heard about, or an iPhone port of Halo 1, or Space Marines Warthog Cart Race Extreeeeme. Who knows? The point is, it's not Modern Warfare 2.

I happen to think that the Call of Duty series is also starting to get milked.

yyou make it to easy for me, surprise im not mad, the PS3 is a beast but at the moment the xbox is more beastly, i plan on getting 1 but, as for there being another halo game, thats only saying since the 360 has multiple sequals to a game on the system that that game is really good...wheres all the PS3 sequals, it has been out for a while and only a few (yet awesome) sequals have come out. MW2 is also a heavy hitter, at the moment PS3 has Uncharted. (awesome) but PS3 needs to step it up. now its time to save up my money for a PS3 so i can get god of war 3 next year. Hell YEAH!

Halo is garbage. The franchise has gone steadily downhill since CE. Not to mention that the only people who play it anymore are 11 year-old loud-mouth racists.

Whats wrong with things being milked? I like milk as well and every game is milked morons. Mario,Need for Speed,MGS,COD,Halo,Ninja Gaiden, and so on. You do realize these games are all good except the Need for Speed. They got worse as they went along besides Shift. Who cares? The more i see my favorite series the better. Saying games are milked is like saying T.Vs are milked. They come out with a new almost every couple of weeks.

OMAGAD Its so suprising. Microsoft don't need Bungie anymore to make Halo games, they will feel much better to make Halo games by Microsoft Game Studios with first party developer (they have any? Wowzer.)
this new Halo title i think is an RTS... Halo: Reach make Bungie and some guys from MGS.

i wonder what 343 industeries halo goin to be i kinda hope it a true sequal halo 4 because of the cutscene at the end of halo 3 on legendary and remember we never actually fought the flood leader or whatever u would call him but yea and i also think bungie next ip after halo reach will be exclusive to microsoft or at least time exclusives because doesnt microsoft have rights to refuse their new ips and get them firs sry if this is long im sry lol

I don't really care about these shooters til a company makes a 3-d shooter in the "play create share" series for playstation. That shooter would outlast any shooter.

I was recognized by the Level Designers Association of America for introducing a new type of level with 90-degree, 180-degree, 45-degree, and a spherical 360-degree, three-dimensional balancing capsule all integrated into one folding, compact level that fits in any tool belt.

Reach is Bungie's last Halo game, afterwards anything Halo related is going to be handled by 343 industries, which is a team held by Microsoft Studios for handling that IP. Bungie doesn't own the Halo IP, but they have Microsoft's permission to produce Halo Reach. Beyond that anything Halo is 343 industries.
Bungie has stated that Reach is their last iteration into the Halo world, and afterwards will probably begin work on a new IP or something. It won't be but a year at most anyway, since the game is about that far off from completion, with the multiplayer beta due in January or so.

I'm pretty sure that even blind people saw this coming. That Reach is *supposed* to be Bungie's last Halo game, and the fact that Microsoft established 343 Studios with former Bungie man Frank O'Connor at the helm as the Halo studio, would imply that this was coming.
This doesn't bother me as long as the games are of good quality. And thus far into the Halo spinoff mass production process they have been. Halo Wars was pretty good for a console RTS. And before people come in yelling about how ODST was a cheap cash in, which I won't argue with that, but it wasn't a bad game. It was a game developed in 14 months. It was meant to be an expansion, but Bungie overdid it. Just because Microsoft responded in a very corporate manner (Charged full price) does not make it a bad game. Overpriced for people who already downloaded map packs, sure. But still a damn good game.
I'm not upset that they're expanding the universe, but I worry about over-saturation. Even if every Guitar Hero was fantastic, I'd still be sick of them because there's too damn much. I hope it doesn't happen to Halo.

i know 343 is led by a former bungie employee but im not really sure they can do the same justice to the halo series that ive come to appreciate
