Welcome to Morning Hangover -- an excellent way to start your day with the crew at TheFeed...no matter what you're recovering from. Every morning you'll hear musings from our editors and have the chance to share your thoughts on what's going on in the gaming world.

Morning Hangover -- Anyone Suffering From Modern Warfare 2 Fatigue Already?

In the past few weeks, I've written countless stories about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Up until last night, I hadn't even played the thing yet! As I'm writing this -- the night before Morning Hangover actually publishes -- I haven't even picked up my copy of the game yet from down the street. But, to be honest, I'm a little burnt out on talking about Modern Warfare 2...even though I haven't even started playing it yet. There's little doubt in my mind that Modern Warfare 2 will end up being an incredibly memorable experience, but the amount of noise about the game makes me want some counter-programming. Anyone else avoiding Modern Warfare 2 for a little bit, while the buzz dies down?

I've never gotten into the Call of Duty series. I like games that offer me more of an immersive experience beyond a generic military FPS. Sorry, but games like this are a dime a dozen and this game's hype blows me away. Totally overrated. Is it really that much better then games like Battlefield Bad Company and every other military FPS?? No thanks... I'll stick to games like Uncharted and Assassin's Creed that actually immerse you into a unique and great storytelling experience.

Nah, I wasn't sure if I was going to be crazy about it when I bought it, the hype never got to me, but now that I've finished playing it I love it and can't wait to play some more

Pretty sure Harriers can't shoot straight down or behind them IRL, but I only complain until I call them in myself..

I'm playing Dragon Age until Assassin's Creed 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 come out next week. I'll end up renting CoD:MW2 just like I end up renting every other Call of Duty game. They're usually quite good (when Infinity Ward does them anyway), but I don't play enough multiplayer to justify buying it. I'll run through the campaign once and probably be done with it.

Yeah its all great till Sony drops the ball and screws the system with patch 1.2! Now nobody can play, I guess they sure showed us. Who do we think we are? We just forked over 60 bucks and expected to play more than one day? Way to go Sony/IW.... You had the years biggest title with the most hype and just massively pissed off your largest customer base!

I'm not into FPS, so this Modern warfare stuff is just a lot of white noise to me. But hey people like that game so that's cool.

Right now I'm all about Brutal Legend and GTA IV: TBOGT. I'll be getting The Sabotuer (sp) when it comes out for my next dose of open-world gaming goodness and after that I'll try to go back to the Metroid Trilogy. Plenty of gaming to go around.

I keep posting, but I am at work and keep thinking of stuff.

Anyways, what I like most about the new multiplayer is the level of customization and unlockables. I know everyone likes these things, but it really taps into the RPGer and MMOer in me. IW made a great move in making so many things to unlock and keep the player interested. I know that I like trying to get all of the attachments and whatnot for each gun so I will be playing for a while. TOO MANY GAMES NOT ENOUGH TIME. Stupid real life and real job...

Yea MW2 looks great and most likly plays the same, but ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

I've had the game on reserve since the first day distributors were taking them. I've added onto along the way; $5 here and there... and now the game is here and I can't get it because I have other financial obligations like rent, water, cable, and electricity, all of which are vital to the gaming experience. Except for water... I mean maybe if you game so hard and long (yea! for innuendos) that you suffer from dehydration. Also, there are other games (i.e. Assassins Creed 2, Left 4 Dead 2) that I have reserve that come out this month!

The only fatigue I'm suffering from is in my wallet!

I woke up on Mon at 4:00 am as I usually do to go to work. I had asked for Tues and Wed off to play as much as possible. I haven't been this tired since the Halo 3 midnight launch!!! After being awake for 30 hours straight I decided enough was enough. After 5 hours of sleep and some coffee I'm back in the action!!!!

I will say that since I was playing with friends, I used my headset for the first time in a while and really noticed what Adam had been saying a couple weeks back about the way people talk online, its stupid and sickening.

Also, why did IW go with no XBL party chat while playing multiplayer? Just wondering, I liked the feature bc then I could just talk with friends while playing.

I do have a bit of MW2 hangover as far as the coverage its receiving. I'm sure the game is great and I can't wait to buy it, but it has been a little much. Plus, I'm still playing Uncharted 2, Ratchet and Clank, Madden, and NBA 2K10. I'm in no hurry for MW2...

The only fatigue I'm feeling is in my hands. That game is so good, it's hard to put the controller down.

    @ lucidity

I think it was going to be obvious that the 360 version was going to come out better - even just for the online community alone. Who would want to play multiplayer on a PS3? Thanks for posting the facts.
