In the past few weeks, I've written countless stories about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Up until last night, I hadn't even played the thing yet! As I'm writing this -- the night before Morning Hangover actually publishes -- I haven't even picked up my copy of the game yet from down the street. But, to be honest, I'm a little burnt out on talking about Modern Warfare 2...even though I haven't even started playing it yet. There's little doubt in my mind that Modern Warfare 2 will end up being an incredibly memorable experience, but the amount of noise about the game makes me want some counter-programming. Anyone else avoiding Modern Warfare 2 for a little bit, while the buzz dies down?

Being delivered so I was up until 3 a.m. playing Dragon's Age while all my friends on Live seemed to login at the same damn time to play MW2 and tell me how great it is and ask why I don't have it. Freaking putzes they are. I can't wait though.

Ya know, it's funny; up until the release date I really didn't care about getting MW2. Not at all. I mean, I considered it. I have COD4, and it was a blast, but I never, ever played it. Me and my friends are more of a Halo-based group. We play COD on occasion, but not often.
Anyways, with the massive, MASSIVE amount of buzz around this game...I....I think I might want it. I hate to say it, but it looks...friggin awesome. I don't have $60 to just kill though, as I preordered ACII, and I plan on getting L4D2 at some point as well.
So here's hoping that, for some amazing reason, I win that giveaway G4 is having for the 250GB MW2 Xbox 360, which comes with the game haha. I seriously need more Hard Drive space as well, as I have less than 1GB left AFTER I deleted everything I didn't need (thanks, Rock Band songs, haha). But yeah. In an ideal world, winning that thing would solve all my problems and more...
Whoa. Side tangent there, lol. But in reality, I dunno if I could get the cash to buy this.

eh if i get it its cause the rest of the games that come out this year are garbage. its kinda my last resort, but just the notion of cod leaves a bad taste in my mouth. i played and loved the first modern warfare, got to level 55 and i just got burned out of that style of play. after all the upgrades and stats are complete and all thats left is the core game its not that fun its actually kinda boring there is nothing there to keep me playing. its generic at best, the perks and unlockables are what makes it fun.

Special Ops does not disappoint. Yeah sure, there's no co-op through the regular campaign, but the Spec Ops missions just about make up for it. They're so short that you get to appreciate them. And it isn't laggy at all *coughHalo3cough*. But all joking aside, it's going to be the only game in my 360 for the next few weeks.

I'm avoiding it for now, but more because of the fact that if I get it before this school semester is over I will fail lol

I started playing that same night i got the game... played the story for a few missions then went straight to online... But now, or atleast as of 11 am CST i can't seem to connect to the server... getting errors, i was wondering if the server was down or is it just my area?

I pre-ordered it, picked it up yesterday and never even popped it into my xbox. I was still enjoying Borderlands and didn't want to dilute the experience.

im not too fed up with it really, i mean it IS a huge title and a new release for a game of this caliber is going to have a lot of attention, the game did just come out YESTERDAY so just bear with it and try to enjoy it, don't worry in a week it will be all about assassins creed 2 and L4D 2 but im sure you will all complain about the attention those get too

I'll be picking up MW2 along with Assassin's Creed 2 and Dragon Ball Raging Blast all at once at the end of the month. So, yes I am avoiding the noise as well for now.

how hypocritical is this article...G4 is teh only site thats been making every other post related to MW2...and now you're asking us if we're trying to cool off?

I have a modern warfare hangover from playing it all night and morning lol. I just had to beat it it to be satisfied and move back to UC2

I played several hours of Modern Warfare 2 last night. Really enjoyed it, despite some serious bumps along the way. I'm sure we'll be talking about it on Feedback today. :)

This game is extremely good, my only problem would have to be that there is practically no single-player experience. Of course I am just being sarcastic, but at the same point; come on now IW. They could have at least given up that 6-10 hour experience they were talking about instead of something that took me only about 3 1/2 hours to finish.

hhmmm... it's strange all this news on MW2 is strangely reminding me of something.... some sort of flu... weird. Multiple news updates everyday, long line-ups when it comes out... I can't quite put my finger on it...

im not exhausted playing MW2, but I AM exhausted reading my Feed RSS headlines and seeing that every other article is about MW2. it's out, we can play, so why bother reading any more articles. PLEASE STOP!

next time theres a big release, dont build up the hype more than its already at. it ruins the game
