Magna Carta 2 is a Japanese-style RPG that has a lot of the standard elements that go with that kind of experience, but also adds a few new wrinkles to the mix. But, does that mean it's a quality experience?
Well, according to reviewer Allen Rausch:
'Innovation isn’t necessarily the hallmark of a great game. There are plenty of examples of games built around unique concepts that failed in their implementation. There are also games that don’t innovate at all, but are so well executed, they’re still outstanding titles. Unfortunately, Magna Carta 2, a Japanese-style RPG from Korean developers Softmax, falls into neither category.'

Great game and a great escape from all the other JRPG's out there at this time.
Beautiful to look at and really cool 'Chain Attacks'. Story is fun but has the cliche' type characters.
Great buy!!

Magna Carta 1 was the only PS2 RPG that I paid full price for, and couldn't make it through due to how boring it was.
Sounds like 2 matched the first one

I managed to slide this game in right before Dragon Age, and I have to say I really do enjoy it. I like the hack n slash type fighting system, the political story, and interesting characters made this def playthrough
