The wait is over. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is out. Let's get right to the point: we're going to be talking quite a bit about Modern Warfare 2 in the coming days and weeks, but today is the first day we're able to tip the tables. So, tell us, what do you think of Modern Warfare 2?

Total waste of money if you are a pc gamer who enjoys richer graphics than any console will ever have and a more consolidated gaming community where you can choose what server you play on and with whom you play. The game just came out and it's already full of cheats with absolutely no way to boot them from a match. The match making system is pathetic. IW lost my business for good. BF:BC2 is coming out in March and will be 100 times better than this piece of crap game. I'll be playing L4D2 til then.

this game has one of the best stories ive played very exhilarating and lutiplayer is the same great cod action we love, spec ops is really cool and fun to play with friends but, i still feel as if the cod4 multiplayer beats mw2 its just not the same...i think infinity ward should make a map pack of all the best levels for multiplayer like a greatest hits map pack

I thought about getting it for X-Mas. But I hear the single-player is short (4 1/2 hours long according to IGN) and I'm not a big fan of multi-player, at least when you have to pay for it (Damn you, Xbox!!!). Besides, I'm trying save some money up for NSMBWii. I like shooters. I just hate the fact that some are just so short.

I got PS3 version, Have not played campaign yet, every time I log on people want to play online. I like the online play better the COD4, pretty much the same but with little extra perks, name tags, acculades.
I like it because I'm not that good but it's fun, Think they added stuff just for folk like me.
Thanks to care package I got a AC-130, it's sweet.
Also I get little acknowledments like kill all members of enemy team, most headshots, most symtac kills, so even if you not on top of leaderboard you feel you did something.
That little Brazil map is wickedly hard, but all the maps are fun. So far I like the airport the best, then the one with all the stone steps stacked up.
Need to fix friend invites, tired of have to log off and on just to accept, took about 1 hr to teach friend how to do it, but we ended up with party of 5. That was fun.

Put in about 3 hrs on multiplayer so far. Love it. Hope they speed the servers up a little. Other than that, without a doubt the best mmo fps ever!!!

I was totally into the campaign mode at first, finding the action intense and the story engaging right up until about the last 2 missions where there's a completely arbitrary plot twist that brings the story to a screeching halt. Seriously, the campaign is shorter than CoD4 and seems like they suddenly realized that they didn't know where they wanted to take the story. What happened Infinity Ward? Did you pull your writers off of story duty halfway through so they could write lame PSAs with homophobic punchlines?
Anywho, the multiplayer is still the best around, and the new spec ops mode is fun, adding some good co-op challenges. Overall the ending to the story is my only major gripe with this game, everything else is phenomenal.

Great game!!! I got it as soon as I could, logged as many hours as I could and now have a seriously stiff neck!!! I stared at the tv for hours!!! My heart rate is just now settling down!!! The action is non-stop and the story is great so far!!!

It's okay so far. Like others, I think it is often to hard to find enemies because of all of the smoke and debris and that fake blood that's always on the screen. Plus, there are just too many enemies. I mean, come one me and three other guys against an entire town?

As I am a lowly PhD student who has a proposal draft due tomorrow and a proposal presentation on Thursday, I had to hold off on the purchase until this hell is over. Damn I had this day marked on my calender for 7 months...stupid school...grrrrrrrrrr

Both the single player and multi-player are vastly improved, spec ops is a nice addition, and this will likely be the most played game on Xbox Live. Well worth my $60.

ok guys, i have to know...... is "Party Chat" for the xbox version disbled? will it work if your all on the same team?.... i got no problems if your not on the same team but if you are.....like come on.... i need that....

the game is good nothing more, a weak campaign of 5 hrs , an only 2 players coop mode where its only challenge . This game dont deserve a 5/5 but a 3/5.

I personally would like to thank G4 for saving me 60 dollars and 5 hours of my life with their review of the game. By showing the terminal scene in their review that pretty much alone was the deciding factor in not buying this game or any future game from this company. The circumstances behind being apart of that scene are irrelevant. That will surely open more doors for mass murder scenarios in other games and further desensitize today's population to those types of situations. On this day I can truely say that I am starting to lose faith in video game companies and what they think is acceptable. Am I the only one on this??
