Welcome to Morning Hangover -- an excellent way to start your day with the crew at TheFeed...no matter what you're recovering from. Every morning you'll hear musings from our editors and have the chance to share your thoughts on what's going on in the gaming world.

I'm a few hours into Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time (it's fantastic, if Adam's review didn't convince you already), but this is only the second Ratchet & Clank game I've ever played. It's a criminal admission, given that character-driven action platformers are pretty much my favorite kind of game from the 8-bit era on. For whatever reason, though, I never got around to playing the Ratchet & Clank games until its PlayStation 3 debut. Even then, it wasn't when the game was released -- I didn't pick up the disc until Quest For Booty was released. Boy, am I thankful I decided to jump in, though. Ratchet & Clank fulfills an itch I need to scratch every few years very, very well.
Confession time. Is there a game (or genre) you've been putting off trying? For me...it's MMOs.

I would love to play Ratchet and Clank, Metal Gear, God of War games and LBP but instead of a PS3 as my second gaming station I bought a laptop for school that plays games fairly well too (also has a bluray drive and HDMI output).

I haven't had the time or dedication to play any rpg since final fantasy 7. I remember being layed off in the winter and playing 10-12 hour sessions while my wife(then girlfriend) went off to work. lol. she'd come home and be all "did you even get off the couch today?"
Don't think I'll play another rpg, but I wish I had a 360 just to play Crackdown. Tried that at a buddies house and loved it.

I've never played a Ratchet and Clank game but want to start the series. I am just finally starting the Splinter Cell series.

I haven't played Call of Duty since the 1st one. I don't tell many people that because I don't want to be flogged.

I was going to try Ratchet but when I read that the developers don't care about the quality of their games anymore, I decided against it. (I'm referring to their comment that they won't make any more 60 fps games because "gamers don't care.") If they don't care, why should I?

well i have to put in my 2 cents ive played probably every major game that has came out idk of any that i havent played but beat is a different story i rent a lot of games cause i dont like playing threw the same story over and over and over and if i did buy it, its just a dust collector

ive never played bioshock, but heres the big one ive never played, HALO! I know, I know start hating. Ive just never been a big fps guy, but strangely enough I beat both Resistance games. Ive also never played any MGS game, shoot im only just now getting into Oblivion, I guess im just slow with my roll..

I've been meaning to play Call of Duty. I intend to rent MW soon, since I don't want that WWII feel. I want something more modern, no pun intended.
Ratchet and Clank is an excellent game series(minus Deadlocked, which was ok at best) and has great replay-ability.

Never played an MMO. May change with the Star Trek and Star Wars ones coming but likely won't. I don't like gaming on a time table which is why I prefer single player campaigns.

COD series and GOW series. I want to get into both and with the GOW 1 2 HD remakes I hopr to change that, but I don't think I will be getting into the COD series, though I want to. I just don't like playing games during the middle of the series, although I think they are based around different characters.

Hmm, Deadlocked was the first Ratchet and Clank game I played and I loved it. I can't imagine how awesome the other ones are! :D Also, if you don't like platformers then you have no business in video games.

honestly, sports and racing, mostly because i myself like neither and am terrible at all things sports related... well not quite, but mainstream sports like base and football + me= disappointment only fixed by a shooter, yay for tomorrow!

Extremely pleased that I bought the PS3 when it still had backwards compatibility, so I am easily able to go back and play some PS2/1 games with no prob. That's how I played through the entire MGS series over the span of a week (or two), chronologically (that's MGS3, MGS1, MGS2, MGS4). Also going back and giving Shadow of the Colossus another go. Totally worth it.
As far as games I tried giving a decent go? I honestly tried playing through Killzone 1, and for the life of me, I could not get through the game without just wanting to play something else alot more. Good thing it was cheap used.
I'll eventually get into the MMORPG world one of these days though. Gotta get that full time spot (or promotion, fingers crossed), and get my friends to go for it too. We tried before, but only one of us had money. No bueno. Good though, cuz some much better looking ones are around now anyway. We'll see...

I've played every genre of games around at them moment. I now am just avoiding genres. I've learned every genre is worth trying a couple of times before you choose whether or not to avoid it like the black plague or embrace it like a lover after a business trip. Also why call sport a genre of video games? Shouldn't be called simulation or virtual? It seems weird to me that a genre is named after a recreational activity that requires physical activity to participate in. When it comes to games I avoid a lot of games like any game that gets a new edition every 10-12 months with a year tagged on them and western RPG's other then fallout because I just don't get immersed in them that easy so I'll probably leave Borderland alone unless a friend get it and I try it out. I also avoid any game that has Wii in the title because they are only gimmick fun not serious fun. One game I'm avoiding on release is Heavy Rain because Machinima games just don't appeal to me.

I use to be a pretty hardcore RPG gamer during the days of the Sega Saturn and The Dreamcast. I even had quite a few when I was playing the first Playstation!! But since PS2 and on to the now current gen systems, I haven't even looked for a decent RPG!! Which is weird because I use to hate shooting games up until the 360 came out with the first Gears of War!! Since then I've been nothing but a shooter junkie!! I never got into MMO's either, I always felt that it was way too much time and effort put into playing those games, and I never wanted to put that much time into playing one game!!

For me it is definitely the God of War franchise. After seeing how awesome God of War III looks, I really wish I would have tried out the other games back when I had a PS2. I only own a 360 at this time and can't see myself having the money for a PS3 anytime in the near future. So I'm going to continue to miss out on great games like God of War, Uncharted, Little Big Planet and Infamous.
Aerindel_Prime
Not interested in any way in R&C I guess It just seems like a waste to spend money on anything that silly looking.
DreadPirateRoberts
I have a PS3 Slim, but I never owned a PS2; so most of the games that I want to play that I feel like I've missed out on are PS2 exclusives (i.e. - Shadow of the Colossus, God of War I & II, etc )
