The Interwebs have a long and storied history of providing nothing but factually accurate information, so I’m going to trust that these recently leaked images of Halo: Reach, Bungie’s next (and final) installment in the Halo series, are in fact the real McCoy (or they could be fake. Either one).
The point is, someone posted the pics on a message board, claiming the images were snagged during a visit to Microsoft headquarters. In addition to showing off a variety of weapons (new and old), the screens reveal a new HUD that apparently “lists teammate names as well as shows what ‘perks’ players are carrying.” As Koku Gamer points out, three of these supposed perks are “sprinting,” “cloaking,” and “hologram.”
It’s hard to draw any real conclusions about the game based on these blurry images, and considering it will most likely be a while before Bungie drops some solid info about the game, take these screens for what they are: a potential/brief glimpse of a game that will be out in the future.

With the emergence of some info from Game Informer, it seems that these screens are indeed.....real. Ya that's right either this is the real deal or GI is lying, or someone knew ahead and is the BEST PHOTOSHOPPER EVAR. The first one is the DRM, a single shot rifle. Then there is the needler rifle at the end, not sure about the others though.

Well hopefully this game has a better story/single player campaign than 2 or 3 and ODST! But HOPEFULLY the graphics are given a major overhaul than the aformentioned Halo titles. Am I the only one who thought that MS and Bungie really scimmed in this department? I mean the original Halo's graphics were just the exact same as the newer installments! Where is all that Halo money going MS?

The Super Needler looks awesome! But PLEASE, no perks! That's what makes Halo so competitive, that the only way you can win is if you have the skill, not better perks.

Ignoring all the anti-Halo posts and debates about builds and cameras and whatnot...
Seeing as how this game is a prequel to the rest of the games in the series, I hope they keep it historically accurate. In other words, yes, bring back the health as long as the shield (provided they fit in the canon with all these books and whatever that I haven't read because I'm not so interested). That spartan laser screenshot concerns me--I don't know how much time elapsed between Halo 1 and Halo 3, but did it exist in Halo 1 and we just never saw it? Or are they retroactively changing the canon? Also, I seem to remember the plasma pistol changing from Halo 1 to Halo 2--I'd be annoyed if it looks like the newer version without a plausible explanation.
Gameplay and innovation is important, but if you can't keep a good narrative, or keep it consistent with itself from game to game, then you've lost me. But, maybe that's just me.

Do you look at the news posts and say to yourself, "Look, its a 360 exclusive, I'm going to go dump on it even though i know nothing about it and won't play it to see what its like." I love how ppl saying these graphics look bad, its a snapshot with a digi cam or mayb even a really good phone
Its not like an actual screen shot from within the game
On side: I'm already hyped up for this, maybe Chief's back, although i love playing as ODST, theres power in numbers

I just hope they finally update the graphics. Though I know some people loved it, ODST was a massive disappointment for me personally. That's coming from someone who loved the other Halo games.

More of the same old kiddies stuff with bad graphics on an outdated game engine. HaloReach looks more like HaloPass. But despite how bad these few halo releases are, the gullible masses keep buying and then regretting after. I guess they keep hoping for something more each time but never happens. M$ only "Exclusive" so they hope to keep whoring it as long as it keeps selling.
Check out the PS3 for real games.
