I don't shop on "Black Friday." Sure, I like a deal as much as the next guy, but I really don't like people, so I guess my distaste for the next guy outweighs my desire for bargains. Perhaps you're different than I, and if so, there are a lot of video game deals to be had this year, on the day after Thanksgiving. Here are some highlights:

That's the price Halo 3:ODST was supposed to sell for... way back in the Spring, that is, before "they" jacked the price up.
I can't believe here in Canada they're selling it for $70... I suppose I have to wait until Boxing Day for a decent price on a non full-length game.

I didn't even know Kmart still was operating, good for them! I've gone to a few black Friday sales at BestBuy and they have always been civil and organized, not the Wal-Mart murder feast you see on the news that evening. Like many others it is much more convenient to just get your sales online, where many retailers offer expanded or additional sales for this day in addition to the store sales - also I get the benefit of doing so in my underwear and not getting arrested for public indecency. Success on all accounts. If you do venture out though you might want to get Elizabeth Lambert to tag along with you and provide protection; dropping bows and head trauma will clear the aisles quickly.

The only things I go for on Black Friday are big item things like TV's which I research the hell out of to see what the best pricing is on a good tv because normally the tv's with the best and most ridiculous sales are the ones that no one cares about. Also game systems that are normally sold out and black friday places normally get a few in... aside from that though nothing else. It seems like I will try my luck for Dragon Age though, I really wanted it but cant afford it. Guess it was a good thing since I get to save 20 bucks on it now. Great deal.

The great part about black Friday is sitting at my PC with my credit card in hand ordering the same item on sale at the stores and getting it shipped for free.

I surprised that they didn't mention L4D2 ($40 at Kmart). I want the game as soon as possible as the next guy but I won't be able to play it till the 24th anyways. I'm thinking this is my opportunity for a great deal.

The best black friday video game deal I ever had was when orange box first released in Oct 07' so the orange box was still 50 bucks for PC, but on black friday that year which was only month later, I got it for 25 bucks at best buy.

sweet $60 off rock band 2 special edition I've always wanted to get that but never had the money maybe because I drink too much NOS that stuffs $2.50 a can, but I love it
