Left 4 Dead 2 Demo Now Available To Everyone -- What Do You Think So Far?

If you don't love shooting zombies (blasphemy!), then stop reading this article; it doesn't concern you. The playable demo for Valve Software's Left 4 Dead 2 has arrived on Xbox Live (and on Steam later today) for all interested gamers. Previously, the demo had been restricted to gamers who had pre-ordered, but that's no longer the case. Given the amount of skepticism leveled at Left 4 Dead 2, the demo is an important moment for Valve. If you've had a chance to download it, tell me what you think.

Oh, also: braaaaaaains. Naturally.

I reserved the game at GameStop so I was given the code to get the demo early. I thought it was fun. I would like to see more realism in how the zombies climb up and down objects in the environment, instead of just falling but I guess beggers can't be choosers. My favorite melee weapon is the guitar. In my opinion, its the best one out of what was available in the demo. It has a somewhat long range to it and its powerful. I'm downloading the demo from Xbox LIVE right now, so I'm gonna check that one out too. Can't wait to buy the game!

Good sir, I shot a zombie with a shot gun to have his arm fall off and continue to beat me with his remaining bloody stump. I took some adrenalin and went on such a rampage with the machete, at least 40% of my screen was blood. I had a boomer bait me while his smoker buddy, of which I had not seen previously, successfully smoked me off the top of a building so that the top of the buillding gave him near perfect cover as my buddies tried to get me free.
The demo, is awesome. The game, will be awesome.

Yea, yea... The demo is awesome. Everyone was expecting that.

I love how they expanded on the zombies and weapons. It really changes up the replayability. But I already have a couple problems/concerns.

It was my understanding that when L4D first came out, the people at Valve said they would be coming out with downloadable content for free. When the only thing we got was a new gametype that I can't stand and maps for multiplayer which should've been on the game in the first place. And now that the second game is coming out, there's really no point for me spending the points on the 'Crash Course' download.

If I buy the second one, will Valve screw us over again?

The demo is really fun but playing on xbox today, i felt the lag was ridiculous making some games impossible to play on expert and the voice seemed to cut in and out, but really fun so far.

Although it hurts my Half-Life nature, I will download the demo to help Valve. :P The trailers did look like an improvement and I liked the original pretty well. Will download the demo on both the 360 and PC. PC's up first. . .

Fun as hell! The only major complaint is that the characters voices seems to suggest they are out on a stroll in the park.haha. The magnum is my favorite weapon so far......

    @BONERJAM

Sounds like you have a launch model like I do.

I was going to spend $350 on the 250gig PS3 but then I decided for $50 more I could have a 250gig 360 MW2 edition with the $60 game a second $50 wireless controller, a headset, and an awesome looking military styled console.

Easy decision, I'll be picking it up at the midnight launch

    best moment EVER was...

So walking around shotting zombies with my trusty boomstick, when I blasted one back into a jukebox. Do to the fonz effect it began to play, and it palyed "Re: Your Brains" by Jonathan Coulton.

    It was awesome.

Biggest issue so far, should I carry the sleek, new pistols or the frying pan of doom?
